Meet Kyng Cylus

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Kyng Cylus. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Kyng, thank you so much for joining us and offering your lessons and wisdom for our readers. One of the things we most admire about you is your generosity and so we’d love if you could talk to us about where you think your generosity comes from.

My mother plays a big part in where my generosity comes from. She always encouraged me to share my art or help others in my community, which has influenced my creative process. She taught me the importance of sharing and being kind to others. Like, she always said that art is a gift meant to be shared, not just kept to ourselves. Also, she showed me how helping others can bring joy, whether it’s through volunteering or just being there for someone in need. Those lessons really shaped how I approach my work and my interactions with others!

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

As KyngCylus from Houston, TX, I’m an artist and runway model dedicated to my craft. I’ve been writing consistently and staying active on the runway, which has been an exciting journey. I just released my new single “Bandz,” and I feel that this song truly resonates with my passion for the arts. It reflects how I express good energy and positivity through my work. I want folks to know that my brand is all about uplifting vibes and creativity, and I’m committed to sharing that with the world! Have a couple shows an events coming up , and another special single release coming soon.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back, I’d say the three most impactful qualities in my journey have been resilience, creativity, and networking. Resilience helps me push through challenges, creativity keeps my work fresh, and networking opens up opportunities. For those just starting out, my advice is to stay persistent, always seek inspiration, and connect with others in the industry. Building relationships can lead to amazing collaborations and growth!

Any advice for folks feeling overwhelmed?

When I feel overwhelmed as a creative, I usually take a step back and give myself some time to recharge. I find that going for a walk or listening to music helps clear my mind. Sometimes, I’ll jot down my thoughts or ideas to get them out of my head. It’s all about finding that balance and allowing yourself to breathe.
