Meet Kyy Mosely

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Kyy Mosely. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Kyy, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
I found my purpose by walking by faith and listening to myself. By doing this it allowed me to fully grow within my business and allow others to come to me. For example, when I started to talk about personal things happening in my life more people were able to relate to it. With them being able to relate to it we were able to figure out the root of their problem and learn how they could either fix it or go about it when they had to encounter the issue again. This is what led me to become a life coach. Knowing that I can help others in their time of need, brought me to my purpose. I love helping others and being able to understand them and helping them find new ways to go about the things that they are experiencing.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
Apprehensive is focused on being a safe space for others that don’t have a voice to be heard. While making Apprehensive a safe space, we must get people to understand that we are here for them and do not care what others think or say. We are very mindful of how we talk about certain topics since most are touchy subjects. We want people to come as they are but learn with a little more understanding why they react or respond the way they do.

Apprehensive is having its first event on October 21, 2023! It will be a mental health brunch that talks about how depression looks in men, women, children, teens, and single parents. We have four (4) speakers that will be speaking on those topics and talking from experience. If you attend this event, you will walk out with more knowledge than you came in with and you will have a little more knowledge to see the signs within your family and friends. We are offering two types of tickets, one for general admission and one for VIP.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Looking back I believe that the three (3) areas of knowledge that were most impactful in my journey are staying true to myself, listening to what my readers wanted, and growing with each year. By staying true to myself I was able to not only tell my story but be able to connect with my Sol Warr;ors and get to know them better as I was learning myself. Listening to what my readers wanted helped me in my journey because although I started this for me it became bigger than myself and I wanted to be something bigger than the face behind it. I wanted to truly understand what my readers needed from me and what they liked and disliked. Growing with each year in business was not only a smart move but an impactful move. When you allow yourself to grow in what you are trying to succeed in you’ll be able to reach places you thought you would have never met before.

What do you do when you feel overwhelmed? Any advice or strategies?
When I feel overwhelmed, I tend to step away for however long I need to just to get myself back on track. I let my Sol Warr;ors know that and come back better than I was before. Since I do deal with anxiety, depression, and PTSD its always necessary to take those breaks because I am not my best when I am having an episode.
