We recently connected with L. Veins and have shared our conversation below.
Hi L., thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?
My work ethic is born from the roots of family, faith, and love.
Family gives me purpose—each step I take is a brick in the legacy I’m building for them.
Faith keeps me steady when the path isn’t clear, when plans fall apart but the vision still stands.
And love—deep, relentless love—for my calling fuels me daily.
It’s a passion to inspire, to remind others that dreams are worth the risk,
and that purpose isn’t something you find—it’s something you live.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I’m a poet and performer with a passion for turning emotion into art—using words to heal, connect, and inspire. My work is rooted in love, truth, and the belief that storytelling has the power to shift atmospheres. What excites me most is watching people feel something real—seeing their heads nod, eyes well up, or hearts open as they hear a piece that speaks directly to their soul. That moment of connection… that’s the magic.
Through my brand, I aim to create safe spaces for authenticity—whether on stage, in print, or through curated events that blend poetry, music, and community. It’s not just about performance—it’s about purpose. I want people to walk away reminded of who they are and what they’re capable of.
Right now, I’ve got some exciting things in motion. I’ll be performing live in Atlanta on July 19th at Spoken Word Vibes—a night of poetry, music, and good energy. There’s more coming too: new merch, more shows, and some collaborations in the works that I can’t wait to share.
Stay tuned—this is just the beginning.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Looking back and ahead, the three forces that shaped my journey most were authenticity, resilience, and purpose.
Authenticity is the thread that holds everything together. I learned early on that trying to be anything other than myself only created distance between me and my calling. When I embraced my truth—flaws, fire, and all—that’s when the real connections started. My advice? Don’t chase what’s popular. Stand in who you are. That’s where your power lives.
Resilience carried me through the storms—the empty rooms, the long nights, the times when nothing made sense but I kept going anyway. This path will test your spirit. But if you can find the strength to keep showing up, even when it hurts, you’ll become unstoppable.
And purpose—that’s the heartbeat of it all. It’s the quiet fire that reminds me why I started, even when the road gets rough. Purpose doesn’t just push you forward, it pulls you deeper—into meaning, into growth, into legacy. For those just starting: take time to listen. Not to the noise, but to that still voice within you. That’s where your journey begins.
Let the world see you, not who you think you should be. Let your work speak from your soul. And trust—everything you are is already enough.

What’s been one of your main areas of growth this year?
Over the past 12 months, my biggest area of growth has been learning to trust timing and release control. I’ve always moved with passion and intention, but this past year taught me the power of patience—to let things unfold, to give myself grace, and to trust that what’s for me will always find me.
I’ve also grown in my ability to listen—to myself, to others, and to the spaces between the noise. That kind of growth has shaped not only my art, but how I move in every room I step into.
Sometimes growth isn’t loud. It’s quiet, steady, and deeply personal. And I’ve learned to honor that too.
