We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Lacey Griffin a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Lacey , looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?
My work ethic is deeply rooted in my family’s example. Growing up surrounded by hard-working dreamers, I watched my late parents and my aunts and uncles build their own paths from the ground up. Their drive, creativity, and relentless dedication to turning ideas into reality shaped how I approach everything I do. Seeing them pour their hearts into their work taught me that success isn’t luck, it’s consistency, passion, and pride in what you create. Their legacy keeps me motivated to push forward, no matter how big or small the project.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
With a love for art, design, and all things handmade, I pour my energy into crafting pieces that celebrate creativity and connection. Whether it’s experimenting with new ideas or bringing a customer’s vision to life, my small business is where passion meets play. Alongside me is my husband, Allen, whose encouragement and support make this journey possible. He has helped me build a business that inspires, connects, and celebrates creativity.
If you find yourself looking for something creative and one-of-a-kind? Let me design and make it for you! From custom door hangers, gifts, and signage to laser-engraved acrylic and wood pieces, I love to bring ideas to life. Whether you need a personalized gift, eye-catching décor, or even a statement mural, every piece is crafted with creativity and care. Big or small, my passion is helping your vision shine through unique designs that are as meaningful as they are beautiful.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Persistence is key. Keep going, keep creating no matter what happens or what anyone says.

What’s been one of your main areas of growth this year?
Over time, I’ve seen incredible growth—not just in social media interaction, but in my confidence and identity as an artist. What started as sharing creative projects has evolved into building genuine connections, inspiring conversations, and a community that celebrates art in all its forms. Each design I create feels like a new chapter in discovering who I am creatively—pushing boundaries, experimenting with styles, and embracing the journey of growth over perfection. The more I design, the more I learn about myself, my purpose, and the kind of art that speaks not just for me, but to others too.
