Meet LaCora Robinson

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to LaCora Robinson. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

LaCora, thank you so much for joining us. You are such a positive person and it’s something we really admire and so we wanted to start by asking you where you think your optimism comes from?
I believe that my Optimism comes from God. I have a strong belief that everything is working for our good. I am not a person who likes negativity. As I am growing in my faith I am learning to “Count it all good.” Which means to me even when a situation does not go our way, it is still in our good favor. In life I have had so many obstacles and I could not have gone through them without the Lords guidance and help. This why I say I get my optimism from God because he continues to see me through EVERY situation and storm, so if he has gotten me through this far, then I’m am pretty optimistic that he will get me through the rest. Nothing in life comes easy especially climbing the road to success. but when you have a positive and optimistic attitude and God is by your side. There is nothing that can stop you for accomplishing your goals and reaching your dreams.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I am an Artist and I express my art by bringing others artist fashion designs to life through modeling. I love what I do because nothing is repetitive. In modeling you never know what your next job will be what opportunity it will bring you. It is very rewarding to see my clients happy and to apart of their vision is coming to life. When I model I feel as if I’m performing and playing into a character. For example my latest job was Bridal gowns. So I had to convey what a Bride would look and feel on her wedding day. With my brand you will always see high fashion elevated looks. I recently got signed with new representation with the agency Wallflower Management. So I am manifesting a bright future with amazing opportunities and will be branching out to acting as a new and exciting endeavor. Please stay tuned for upcoming Runway shows I will be walking in. I will be posting them to my social media pages.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
The three most Qualities, skills and areas of knowledge that were impactul in my journey was Number One, keeping God first. When you keep God first your journey neccarily won’t be easy but you will have a different attitude and understanding of certain things. For example your outlook on your waiting season and how you handle a storm it is different when you have God. Number two is staying consistent. When you are consistently working and improving your craft you will get results. Even when you feel that business is slow still work because even the smallest seeds that are planted can grow into something big. Number three would be to always be willing to learn and to be teachable. I feel when a person is willing to be teachable you start to unlock new skills that you never knew you had which in turn will unlock new adventures and opportunities. My advice for those who are early in their journey would be to lock in. Lock into what you want, ask God to guide you and start to develop and master your craft. Network and get a team of people who can sharpen one another.

What was the most impactful thing your parents did for you?
The most impactful thing my parents have done for me was simply support me. In some cases parents can kill their parents dream. Sometimes intentionally by not supporting what their child(ren) want to do in life. My parents never did that and in result they get to witness me do what I love and accomplish what I have always wanted to do. Even my journey they have even been nothing but supportive with every decision I have made and every job I have done. They trust the woman I am because they truly know the person I am. I am grateful for there support and their unconditional love for me.
