Meet Lacresha Woolridge

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Lacresha Woolridge a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Lacresha , we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?

I believe my resilience come from all the things that I went through as a young girl seeing my mom or jobs and that be there because she had to seen the pain that my family went through, and also my relationship with God.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

My story began in 2020 during Covid . I had just came out of Bible college and I was seeking what to do next . I’ve always enjoyed hair and I had did it in the summers prior but just as a side job . I didn’t think this would be something I would do fulltime . But I felt really excited about after taking it over with a friends . I then preceded to sign up from school . When to school and did great I love it , I learned so much and was ready to take on the world with my new found gift. With 6 months left to graduate I expended one of the most heart breaking seasons of my life with the lost of my little sister . This caused me to be our school for 3 months . I then returned and completed school and then began to advance in my new career. I can say this had changed my life for ever and I never would have thought I would be at this point in my life . I launched my business , a website and began to selling extensions . My business is called Haus of Royalty and Haus of Royalty Hair . I just launched a product called raw cambodian hair extensions. My goal for the future is to see my extensions wore by women all over this world .

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

1.Having a vision
2.moving with wisdom
3. Not giving up .

I would say have a thought out plan or vision of what you want to see in your future .

Be determined, and never give up no matter what it looks like .

All the wisdom you’ve shared today is sincerely appreciated. Before we go, can you tell us about the main challenge you are currently facing?

I am facing the challenge of how to move into what I believe with the economy looking bad for me .

I have been trying to not give up no water what it looks like so putting out project and standing on faith .
