Meet Lady P

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Lady P. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Lady, we can’t begin to explain how much we appreciate you sharing about your PPD experience, but we can say that so many in our community are suffering from or have suffered from postpartum issues including postpartum depression and so you sharing your story and how you overcame it might help someone who is going through it right now or in the future. What can you share with us about how you overcame PPD? For readers, please note this is not medical advice, we are not doctors, you should always consult professionals for advice and that this is merely one person sharing their story and experience.
I took a different approach about life. I decided to put the things away that I was causing me unhappiness and channeled it into something that brought me happiness I changed the surroundings and it made a huge impact on my life and children

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
Right now I provide support for victims of domestic abuse. I’m also a survivor and I started a campaign called #speak.I started noticing the area I stay at doesn’t raise awareness about domestic violence and I wanted to change that. I woke up and asked GOD what is my purpose? But everything else is great and how I can help someone tell their story and this is what he lead me to do. I wanted women and men to know they are not alone and you can survive it and live in freedom

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
1. Study the knowledge you are passionate about. 2. Listen to yourself and believe yourself when others don’t
3.Share your dreams with the world and live it to your own capacity. Go where you are celebrated not where you’re tolerated

To close, maybe we can chat about your parents and what they did that was particularly impactful for you?
Teaching me to be myself and love myself and keeping GOD first
