Hi Lakisha, so great to have you on the platform. There’s so much we want to ask you, but let’s start with the topic of self-care. Do you do anything for self-care and if so, do you think it’s had a meaningful impact on your effectiveness?
For me, self-care is a combination of various activities, and travel plays a significant role. When I have the opportunity to explore new destinations, it allows me to disconnect from my work and immerse myself in different cultures and experiences. Even if I bring my laptop along, I make a conscious effort not to open it unless necessary. Instead, I focus on fully embracing the moment and indulging in the joys of traveling. This intentional break from work helps me relax, recharge, and gain fresh perspectives. It ultimately enhances my effectiveness by providing me with inspiration and new ideas to bring back to my clients.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
When it comes to celebrating special occasions, I believe in creating unforgettable experiences. That’s why celebratory travel is such a big part of my brand. I absolutely love curating unique experiences for my clients, whether it’s a birthday celebration, a dream wedding, or a much-needed getaway with friends. One of the things that set me apart is my meticulous attention to detail. I take care of all the little things that make a trip special, from securing luxurious accommodations to making those hard-to-get dinner reservations and coordinating seamless transportation. My goal is to ensure that my clients have the time of their life, without having to worry about anything except packing their bags. I’m always on the lookout for new and exciting destinations and experiences to offer my clients. As I continue to expand my network of exclusive partnerships, I’m able to provide unparalleled travel opportunities.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
When reflecting on my journey, there are three key factors that have had a significant impact:
1. Passion: Find what truly ignites your passion and align your career pursuits with it. Passion fuels motivation and dedication to continuous improvement.
2. Adaptability: Embrace change, seek growth, and remain open to learning new skills. Adaptability positions you for success in an ever-evolving industry.
3. Continuous Learning: Dedicate time to stay updated, expand your knowledge, and invest in professional development. Travel to expand your understanding of destinations and bring a unique perspective to your work.
To those early in their journey, focus on developing and improving these areas. Cultivate passion, embrace adaptability, commit to continuous learning, and travel for personal growth. These qualities will equip you to navigate challenges and achieve success.
