Meet Lasean Rice Jr

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Lasean Rice Jr. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

LaSean, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?

I get my resilience from a few different things. First off, my faith in God continues to strengthen me through each endeavor. My family has taught me many lessons and given me great moral foundation and teachings. Lastly, I would say the love I have for myself wanting more than what issues may have me shackled to.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I have become an actor. What makes being an actor special to me is that I have been able to understand more of whom I am, and becoming a master of my emotions and where they derive from. Getting into acting was an entirely new path for me after having had served years in the US Navy. Now, just a few years later I am heading to the premiere of my debut lead role in a film. I am thankful for the Future Soul premiering 20Sept in Jacksonville and 28Sept in Orlando.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

I think the three qualities, skills and areas of knowledge that have been most impactful in my journey would be: Resiliency, Execution, and Love.

My advice would be to love yourself so that you are able to gain all of the abilities needed for your journey.

Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?

The person who has been most helpful to me in the areas stated above would be my father.
