Meet Latasha Taylor

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Latasha Taylor. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Latasha below.

Latasha, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
I have always been a natural caregiver, so when I was 14 I was immersed into the beauty industry, doing nails specifically.

After becoming an adult, getting married and having children it led me into healthcare. When my daughter graduated high school she wanted to do Esthetics and suggested we open a business together.

After going back to get my Bachelors in Healthcare Administration, and realizing that even with a degree it was hard to make more money, and as I kept getting looked over for promotion, I knew I had to take a chance on myself. If I could work that hard for someone else, I could work 10x harder for myself.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I am a Licensed Nail Tech with over 33 years experience in the beauty industry. I am a makeup artist and lash tech as well.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
If you are in a service based industry, the 3 qualities I know you need to be successful are:

1. Have a heart to serve
2. Be Flexible while you’re building your clientele
3. Be professional and create a calming environment that people love to come to and refer people to

Tell us what your ideal client would be like?
Our Ideal clients are professional women and men from the ages of 25 and older.

They love self care, good food, boutique shopping or essentric things, high end experiences, travel, healthy habits, relationships and people. They are limited with time, and appreciate appointments, and flexibility.

They are busy and when they have moments for selfcare they don’t want to be rushed through it.
