Meet Latasha Valeria Shabani

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Latasha Valeria Shabani a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Latasha Valeria, thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights and lessons with us today. We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you became such a resilient person. Where do you get your resilience from?

I’d say my resilience comes from living a life full of ups and downs. I’ve learned to basically just keep going because I’ve seen life totally shift for the better in a moment.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I own a luxury accessory brand that includes shoes and fine jewelry. My Valeria McAlpine, McAlpine is my
maiden name, shoe brand includes shoes for toddlers and girls. Additionally, I own an inspirational brand, Run Toward Goliath. Run Toward Goliath includes apparel and a YouTube channel. My shoes and Run Toward Goliath apparel can now be found at Painted Tree Boutiques in Roswell, booth B13.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

I would encourage people just starting out to

1. Avoid perfectionism
2. Bet on yourself and take risks
3. Keep going

Who has been most helpful in helping you overcome challenges or build and develop the essential skills, qualities or knowledge you needed to be successful?

My mom has always been tremendously encouraging and supportive. She fed my creative passions from childhood by fostering an environment that encouraged and enabled me to try so many creative things.
