We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful LaToya (CoachToya) McIntosh Oviawe. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with LaToya (CoachToya) below.
Hi LaToya (CoachToya), really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
Finding my purpose wasn’t a walk in the park, who you are has a lot to do with how you position your life. I had to find my own identity, your identity is the most important thing you have. It dictates your actions, responses, thoughts, leadership abilities, and ultimately everything you are.
As a young girl growing up in foster homes to home sweet home, being settled with my lovely grandparents, married for 58 years to death did my grandfather part in 2010,
Although my grandparents stabled us in God’s love, and always secured our esteem, Being different has some difficulties for me, I was an outcast on a quest of self discovery, searching my way through life, not afraid to take risk. I struggled with not being able to unlock the doors and push through glass ceilings. So I stopped fighting and going against the grain. I surrender my life to Christ, I dropped every expectation that others had for my life and I begin to identify me, myself and I. I became a counselor, author and a life coach that specializes in anxiety and depression. I later started my own business and received my masters degree in psychology.
Walking into your own identity is when you know that being different is extraordinary, Satan knows that if you are trapped and adapt to an in accurate or partial view of your identity, You will eventually take this identity crisis into your families life, career, church, or ministry. When you uncover who you are in Christ, no one and nothing can take you from the purpose for your life. The love factor.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Some best Qualities would be, good listening and communication skills. Be a life long student and surround yourself with people that are ahead of you in the direction you are heading to. Take calculated risks. Environment is key, sometimes it’s not what you know, it’s who you know that can connect you to your destiny.
