Discovering my purpose has been a journey influenced by my natural inclination to help others. From a young age, I found joy in supporting those in need, whether by sharing food with less fortunate children or offering a listening ear to friends facing challenges.
As I progressed in my career, this inclination evolved into a passion for positively impacting the workplace. I gravitated toward roles in Human Resources (HR), recognizing the opportunity to assist individuals in finding fulfillment and success in their careers.
Developing this skill and overcoming challenges has required continuous learning and adaptability. I’ve dedicated time to understanding HR principles, staying updated on industry trends, and honing my communication and interpersonal skills.
One crucial quality I’ve fostered is empathy. By putting myself in others’ shoes, I can better understand their needs and support them effectively. Strong communication skills have also been essential for building relationships and guiding individuals towards their goals.
Throughout my journey, my commitment to helping others has remained steadfast. Every obstacle I’ve faced has strengthened my resolve and deepened my understanding of my purpose.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Looking back, my journey’s three most impactful qualities were empathy, continuous learning, and resilience.
Empathy: Understand others’ perspectives without judgment. Practice active listening and seek diverse viewpoints.
Continuous Learning: Embrace lifelong learning to stay adaptable and relevant. Pursue formal education, online courses, and mentorship opportunities.
Resilience: Bounce back from setbacks and persevere through challenges. Maintain a positive mindset, practice self-care, and seek support from mentors and peers.
For those early in their journey, prioritize self-awareness, seek mentorship, embrace challenges, and build resilience. These qualities will guide you through growth and success.

My faith in God has been the most helpful in helping me overcome challenges and develop the essential skills, qualities, and knowledge needed for success. My belief in a higher power has provided me with strength, guidance, and resilience in the face of adversity.
In times of difficulty, turning to prayer and seeking solace in my faith has provided me with a sense of peace and perspective. Trusting in God’s plan has given me the courage to persevere through challenges, knowing I am never alone in my struggles.
My faith has instilled important values such as compassion, empathy, and humility, which have been instrumental in building meaningful relationships and navigating complex situations.
My relationship with God has been the cornerstone of my journey, shaping my character, guiding my decisions, and empowering me to overcome obstacles with grace and resilience.
