Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Laura Pastor. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Laura , thanks for taking the time to share your lessons with our community today. So, let’s jump right in – one of the most essential skills for unlocking our potential is self-discipline. Where does your self-discipline come from?
Discipline is something I learned as a child, and it has been a process of trial and error. One of the things that has taught me the most about staying disciplined is sports. I am a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and have played sports all my life, including Surfing, Powerlifting and Classical Ballet, which I consider a sport.
Jiu-Jitsu, in particular, has helped me develop control, resilience and persistence, qualities that I apply in all aspects of my life, not just sports. My advice to everyone is to find a sport you enjoy and commit to it, because the discipline you cultivate in training is reflected in all areas of life. In addition, physical exercise brings a dose of positive dopamine, which revitalizes both mind and body, giving us the energy to face personal and professional challenges with more ease and enthusiasm.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I am 23 years old, an old soul.
I have dedicated my life to spiritual and artistic expansion, exploring and recognizing myself through strokes and colors. In addition to sports, which has been a fundamental part of my life, I dedicate myself to creating branding for brands and illustrating in various forms: posters, flyers for events, cover arts for music and podcasts, graffiti, murals, and digital drawing.
My brand, ELE Design, reflects my love for art and design. We offer design services as well as an extensive catalog of products such as prints, illustrations, tote bags, scarves and stickers.
Although art and sports are two very different worlds, I found it a beautiful challenge to find the balance between them. Artists tend to get inspired at night, while athletes value a good night’s rest. But with discipline and a clear focus, anything is possible. The constant search for that balance has allowed me to connect both passions and live a full and purposeful life.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
The biggest challenge has been to stick to my purpose: to enjoy a fulfilling life doing what I love the most. In this society, it is sometimes complicated to dedicate ourselves to our passions because we are constantly chasing money and time never seems enough. We live distracted from the present and forget to appreciate the blessings that surround us here and now.
It is essential to move forward with the movie we are living, because, in the end, our reality could be someone else’s dream. The path is not linear, nor is the process perfect, but the most important thing is not the destination, but how we feel along the way and how much we love what we do.
Anything you set your mind to is possible. Therefore, I encourage you to live your life as a protagonist, not as a supporting actor. Enjoy the process, embrace each stage, and remember that your story has the power to inspire. Live with intention, presence and passion.
One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
Yes, I would love to connect with artists, athletes and entrepreneurs who want to develop projects together.
One of my biggest dreams is to create spaces dedicated to the healing and empowerment of women, teaching them movement, yoga and self-defense. I envision these events in beautiful retreats in nature, in hotels surrounded by tranquility, accompanied by music, entrepreneurship, coffee, good food, love and lots of passion. I seek to create transformative experiences that inspire and empower all women who participate.
