Hi Lauran , you’ve got such an interesting story, but before we jump into that, let’s first talk about a topic near and dear to us – generosity. We think success, happiness and wellbeing depends on authentic generosity and empathy and so we’d love to hear about how you become such a generous person – where do you think your generosity comes from?

My sense of generosity is rooted in the examples set by my mother and grandmother. They were the strongest female influences in my life, teaching me that being generous not only enriches your own life but also profoundly impacts those you help. Their kindness and compassion instilled in me the belief that small acts of giving can create ripples of change in the world. I watched them dedicate their time and resources to those in need, and their selflessness inspired me to carry on that legacy. Whether it was through volunteering, sharing resources, or simply offering a listening ear, they showed me that generosity fosters connections and builds a sense of community. This understanding has shaped my values and motivates me to be a source of support for others, just as they were for me.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

My role involves assisting with overseeing the operations of the company across all our locations, as well as collaborating with my coworkers to support the launch of new stores. I’m particularly excited about expanding into new markets with our upcoming locations! I am passionate about our brand values, purpose, and mission, and I take pride in playing a pivotal role in upholding those standards. One of the most thrilling developments is our partnership with the Florida Panthers professional hockey team. This unique collaboration is groundbreaking and unconventional, and I’m eager to help push the boundaries of what we can achieve.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Reflecting on my journey, the three qualities that have been most impactful are adaptability, communication, and a strong work ethic.

1. **Adaptability**: The ability to adjust to changing circumstances has been crucial. In a fast-paced environment, being open to new ideas and willing to pivot can set you apart. **Advice**: Embrace change and seek out opportunities to step outside your comfort zone. Engage with diverse perspectives to enhance your adaptability.

2. **Communication**: Clear and effective communication has fostered strong relationships and teamwork. It’s essential for sharing ideas, resolving conflicts, and building trust. **Advice**: Practice active listening and seek feedback on your communication style. Take courses or participate in workshops to refine your skills.

3. **Strong Work Ethic**: Commitment and perseverance have helped me overcome challenges. Consistently putting in the effort, even when faced with obstacles, is key to achieving your goals. **Advice**: Set realistic goals and hold yourself accountable. Develop a routine that encourages productivity and prioritizes your tasks.

For those just starting out, focus on cultivating these qualities daily. Seek mentors who exemplify these traits and learn from their experiences. Remember, growth is a journey—be patient with yourself and stay committed to your development.

What was the most impactful thing your parents did for you?

The most impactful thing my mother did for me was instilling a strong sense of values and resilience. She consistently encouraged me to pursue my passions and to believe in myself, even when faced with challenges. Her unwavering support and belief in my abilities taught me the importance of perseverance and hard work.
