Meet Lauren Anderson

We were lucky to catch up with Lauren Anderson recently and have shared our conversation below.

Lauren, so great to be with you and I think a lot of folks are going to benefit from hearing your story and lessons and wisdom. Imposter Syndrome is something that we know how words to describe, but it’s something that has held people back forever and so we’re really interested to hear about your story and how you overcame imposter syndrome.

Still working on this honestly! I’ve found it super helpful to stay away from having a scarcity mindset. I used to have thoughts like “why should I continue to create content when there are so many other creators who have more followers, etc. than me”, but that is such a toxic mindset to have. This could apply to any career. There are always going to be plenty of opportunities for everyone out there, so it’s much healthier to live with an abundance mindset!

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

After living in Colorado for over 30 years, I’ve truly become passionate about showing people all there is to offer in the Denver area, and beyond! I love helping local businesses expand their clientele, and meet other creatives whether it be in the social media scene, artists, chefs, and more! Denver has such a fun group of creative people and I love it.

I grew up dancing so I’ve always been in the arts scene to some extent. I also think I got my love for the arts from my grandma, who was an art collector and loved taking me to museums.

I’ve been growing my instagram page (and now TikTok) @denverbucketlist_ for several years, and have loved getting to learn more about different businesses in the area, as well as meeting other content creators.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Having a creative mind, a love of writing (and reading), and thirst for growth and connection.

I believe that pushing yourself outside of your comfort zone never hurts. Whether it be going to an event you’re not sure if you’d enjoy, or having a “solo date”, everyone can benefit from switching up their day to day routine.

What has been your biggest area of growth or improvement in the past 12 months?

Really dedicating time to my content creation and staying more consistent than I have in the past. I used to go a week or two without posting anything, but now I realize the benefit of staying consistent on social media (or with your brand) and always thinking outside the box on how to get more creative with my content.
