Hi Lauren, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
Grief. I lost someone who was very special to me, my grandfather. My grief journey led to self discovery and learning how to live more purposefully.

What I learned is that it’s ok to allow yourself to grieve but don’t stop living. One of the many things I discovered is that I really enjoy traveling and exploring the world and created a business to help others do so as well.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I own Plane Jane Travel Services, LLC. We are a travel concierge business. The mission of our company is to take the stress out of planning trips and traveling, also to highlight how affordable travel can be with the right tools.

This year we plan on expanding with a non profit to provide the opportunity for under privileged youth in Cleveland, Ohio to travel the world.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
The three most valuable skills that were most impactful throughout my journey were confidence, knowledge and ambition. This statement is cliche but very true “ if you don’t believe you can do it no one else will”. My advice would be to don’t rush the process, do a lot of research on the market you are wanting to start a business in and most importantly if you are going to do something be the best at it.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
Yes, I am interested in collaborating with health & wellness brands for upcoming Plane Jane Travel Services hosted trips. Our first hosted trip is in December of this year to Breckenridge, Colorado. My company will be providing each confirmed guest with a welcome gift bag. Our goal is to partner with different brands to ensure our gift bag is filled with aome great products and allow us to promote other small businesses.
