Meet Lauren Cintron

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Lauren Cintron a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Lauren, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?

I actually developed my confidence and self-esteem during one of the most challenging times in my life. After dealing with chronic illness and some changes in my body, I fell into a pattern of being really hard on myself — especially about my appearance. When I was living with my best friend, she became my real-time ‘AutoCorrect.’ Anytime I said something negative about myself, she immediately reminded me of something positive. Over time, I started to genuinely believe those kinder words.

That experience opened my eyes to how powerful self-talk really is — what we feed our minds becomes our reality. Now, even on tough days, I make it a habit to notice when I’m being self-critical and consciously replace it with something compassionate or affirming. It’s become a practice of self-awareness and self-love that’s completely transformed the way I show up for myself and others.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

My name is Lauren Cintron, and I’m a certified life coach, as well as the founder of Luna Wellness — my personal coaching practice is dedicated to helping women learn how to regulate their nervous system, becoming aware of and releasing limiting beliefs, elevate their mindset and ultimately, reconnect with who they truly are. Luna Wellness was born out of my own healing journey and now I’m honored to guide other women through that same transformation.

Through my coaching and workshops, I help women transcend limitations, release stress, and build mindset changes that will reflect from the inside out. What I love most about this work is witnessing that moment of reconnection when a woman realizes she can feel peaceful, powerful, and grounded all at once.

I currently offer 1:1 coaching sessions where I help women identify what’s keeping them stuck and create personalized strategies to build confidence to go after the life they want to live, actively manage and reduce stress, and feel more balanced in their daily lives. In addition, I have an e-course available, The Stress Reset, which teaches practical tools for calming the nervous system in real time, and my upcoming ‘Boundaries with Love’ Workshop in November, which focuses on navigating family dynamics during the holidays with grace and self-respect.

At its heart, Luna Wellness is about redefining what strength looks like. It’s the mindset shift from constant doing to intentional being — from self-criticism to self-compassion. My mission is to help women unlearn the beliefs that keep us small and boxed in, and to remember that everything we need to heal, grow, and rise already lives within us.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back, three qualities that have been the most impactful in my journey are: self-awareness, emotional resilience, and authentic communication.

Self-awareness is the starting point for everything. Once I learned to pause and notice my thoughts, patterns, and emotions without judgment, I could actually begin to change them. For anyone starting out, I’d say: begin with self-reflection — journaling, mindfulness, or even voice notes. The more honest you are with yourself, the clearer your path becomes.

Emotional resilience came from navigating chronic illness, burnout, and rebuilding my confidence from the ground up. Life will test you — but every setback can become a teacher if you let it. My advice is to treat challenges as training grounds for strength. Rest when you need to, but never stop believing that you can rise again.

Finally, authentic communication — both with others and with yourself — has been key. In my coaching work, I’ve seen how powerful it is when women feel truly seen and heard. Learning to speak from the heart, not perfection, builds real connection. My advice is to start speaking your truth, even if it feels uncomfortable at first. The more you honor your own voice, the more naturally confidence will follow.

Any advice for folks feeling overwhelmed?

When I start to feel overwhelmed, my very first step is to regulate my nervous system through deep breathing. One of my favorite techniques is box breathing — it’s simple and effective:
• Inhale slowly through your nose for 4 seconds
• Hold your breath for 4 seconds
• Exhale gently through your mouth for 4 seconds
• Pause and hold again for 4 seconds
Repeat this a few times, and you’ll start to feel your body and mind settle.

Beyond that, my go-to way to release stress is spending time in nature and grounding myself — even a few minutes with my feet on the earth or sitting under a tree can completely shift my energy.

And maybe most importantly: ask for help. So many of us try to take on everything ourselves and push through instead of reaching out. But I’ve learned support is not a weakness — it’s a form of self-care. Sometimes the strongest thing you can do is admit you need a hand and let yourself receive it.
