We were lucky to catch up with Lauren Schwartz recently and have shared our conversation below.
Lauren, so many exciting things to discuss, we can’t wait. Thanks for joining us and we appreciate you sharing your wisdom with our readers. So, maybe we can start by discussing optimism and where your optimism comes from?
In working toward my goals for my ideal life I cultivate optimism by reminding myself of the reasons “why” do I do what I do, establishing a clear vision of my goals, and emotionally feeling the win and goal achieved. It’s easy to get consumed by the negative thoughts in your head, that are constantly trying to pull you away from your purpose and efforts toward fulfillment, peace, and love; so taking time to connect to my higher power by keeping the answer to my “why”, focusing on my intention & emotionally experiencing the win already won, is how I stay motivated, disciplined, and optimistic throughout my days. Every day is a challenge, compromised of smaller challenges that we are faced with, and they can derail us from productivity and progressive movement toward our goals if we lose connection, and sensation, to the high vibration of source and our reason for being and our goals for success. My strategy for honing back into optimism, is by finding authentic feelings of gratitude and abundance within me. This enhances my senses, my mind, body, and spirit/soul, back into feeling true love for my existence, and understanding that I have a reason for being on this Earth, and by connecting to my heart, which is where God, or our Higher Source, resides. Then I can confidently stand in the truth of my placement, and be confident in my choices of who I am and what I’m doing here. In order to release the programming and conditioning of what I “should” be doing, which only depresses and confuses my senses, I have to connect to my heart, my intuition, my gut feelings and messages of my unique purpose. If I stay up in my head, and use logic to guide me, I get carried away with false identities and reasons. Only in my heart, can I find the fuel to truly continue to “do me”, with optimism and fire.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I am a Holistic Doctor, Artist & Entrepreneur. I received my Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine (DACM) from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine (PCOM) in San Diego, California. I am a singer, songwriter, writer, dancer, actress, model, and creative. My entrepreneur spirit is constantly creating new ways for holistic health care to be accessible to the masses. My second EP – Entropy, just released in September 2024. My music is found under the name Bambuu on any music and streaming platform, also at bambuu.online, where you can find my merch I design myself. I am also in the process of writing and publishing my first book, on Holistic Health care, called Western Translation of Eastern Medicine. This should be available for purchase as hard copy or e-book and audiobook by early 2025. I also have my first Patent Pending for my new skincare line CaCow Co. Beauty. It is the world’s first ever all natural, non-toxic, holistic, Senolytic skincare. Senolytic means anti-aging; my formula consists of all natural ingredients that reverse the aging process on a cellular level, creating and preserving youthful skin, hair, and nails. You can find and purchase my skincare online at CaCowCo.com and @CaCowCo on Instagram and TikTok Shop. I also have Youtube and Twitter accounts where I post educational promotional content. By doing all these things I am called to do, I am excited to wake up everyday and keep working towards my goals because the fulfillment of achieving ideas into palpable products, goods, and services, is why I am alive on this dimension. I get fully absorbed and happy while in the process of these activities, and I see, through the experience, how life is truly the journey, and not the destination. At the end of the day, when I’m in my 90’s, knowing I did everything I wanted to, to the fullest of my abilities, will be my biggest reward. I want to avoid ever regretting not attempting the things I love, am called to do, and even fear, because fear is truly an illusion, False Evidence Appearing Real, and I only strive for optimization of my mind, body, and spirit. Fulfilling my purpose, and knowing I’m here for a unique reason, that I choose to create and evolve within, is what makes me get out of bed in the morning, and brings me peace within the chaos. The sky is not the limit, your mind is.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
The three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that are the most impactful in my journey are strength, emptiness, and flexibility. These are the three lessons, or virtues, I learned from observing bamboo; and is why my artist name is Bambuu. Strength in the mind, body, and spirit, is essential for growth, fulfillment, and success. Without cultivating strength, and continuously building new strength, we cannot move forward in our endeavors, and if we are not evolving, what are we doing? Finding emptiness in the sense of being un-attached to future outcomes, releasing any past experience or emotions that my attach me to the past, create resentment, or limiting preconceptions; fosters authenticity and awareness, focusing within the present moments, that are the only true here and now. If I am not present in the moment, then I am reliving the past, or focusing on a hypothetical future, which neither of those are even real, and being disconnected from reality will only hinder my progress, and confuse my sense as to what it is I am doing. It is essential to stay empty, and be fully immersed in the right now, because that is all that there really is. Attached to nothing, connected to everything (mind, body, and spirit). Flexibility in being able to bend with reality, as it unfolds in real time, is the only way to stay unaffected and detached from emotionally reactivity. Emotions come and go, based on what happens throughout life, and it is important to me to stay aware that I am not the emotions that arise, and to identify with emotions will only keep me out of balance with my highest self, and is not part of the equation of love and resilience. Resilience comes from flexibility of the mind, body, and spirit; honoring mobility of this time space continuum is the basic fulcrum of resilience, leading to achievement and productive movement, like the waves moving through the ocean, crashing on shore, then beginning again.
If you are early in your journey, find virtues that are close to your heart, that resonate with your existence, and continue to develop their definition of them, and focus on the habits that create confidence and excitement within you, tattooing them into your existence, in order to have a backbone to rebound from, when life becomes challenging. What you think, you become. You can be and do whatever you want, but you have to choose what makes or breaks you, become the creator of every moment, not the victim. Your whole life is a sequence of choices happening for you, not to you. Main character shit, take responsibility of EVERYTHING, you’re the boss.
As we end our chat, is there a book you can leave people with that’s been meaningful to you and your development?
Joe Dispenza’s book , Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself, has been a crucial player in my development recently. He teaches the science of spirituality. The book deciphers reality into molecular, quantum, phenomena, and gives you strategies on how to take control of your mind, body, and spirit, in order to project your ideal life into existence.
