Meet Lauren Schwartz

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Lauren Schwartz. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Lauren, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?

My parents both instilled within me a good work ethic. My parents divorced when I was younger and so each of them needed to be able to support their family separately. There wasn’t the “joint” bank accounts. So, with two children they both had to learn how to work hard in order to be successful within our family.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

A little bit about me, I live in Southern California and have lived here my entire life. Married to my best friend with a 12 year old daughter and two pups! I’ve worked with in the creative space for over 20 years where I’ve had the privilege to work on the brand and agency side. Over the years I have been able to grow and develop my own Creative Agency, The Loft 325. Over the last 5 years I’ve been able to grow from me to a team of 6 and over 100+ content creators who work with us.

This past year in 2024 I merged with another Digital Agency, Tier 11, where we joined forces to offer a superior experience for brands. I’ve been able to step in as their Chief Creative Strategist where I am leading the organization in their creative strategy efforts. My internal team has grown from 6 to 10 and we are continuing to grow.

For 2025 I am shifting some of my focus to work with smaller brands on their Creative Strategy through consulting and education. My passion for teaching has been a part of how I am able to balance being a part time college professor at the University of Chapman in Orange. Where I teach Branding and Advertising.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

The 3 qualities, skills or areas of knowledge that were most impactful for me and my journey were Delegation, Organization and Not sweating the small stuff.

Over the years, I’ve worked with many different stakeholders, clients and personalities. When I first started out on my own I was the only one doing everything and as the client list grew so did the workload. Once I began growing my team I needed to learn how to step out of the day to day to I could focus ON the business as opposed to being IN the business. This was a valuable lesson I had to learn. Not only did it give my team the ability to make their own decisions but they were able to get answers quickly and move faster.

Organization and time management is probably the biggest skill you can master. As someone who is a list maker, making sure that I would organize my daily, weekly and monthly tasks to ensure that items were being completed on time. Lastly, not sweating the small stuff. There are going to be several issues that will arise but learning to know which ones to tune out and which ones to focus on will help you stay sane. Life is too short to stress and the more you stress the less you can actually accomplish.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

I’m looking to partner with small brands, smaller agencies who are looking to grow and scale. I’ve been able to grow and sell a successful business and now Im looking to partner with others to work with them to help to align on their goals and grow as well.
