We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Lauren Steward a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Lauren , thank you so much for joining us. You are such a positive person and it’s something we really admire and so we wanted to start by asking you where you think your optimism comes from?

Optimism is a true test of faith, in my opinion. Regarding business or my personal life it has been doing the best I can with what I can control and letting the rest play out the way it is supposed to. For me, its doing my absolute best to walk in gratitude daily. Life is going to happen, things are going to go wrong- but not letting it negatively affect the day or week and staying consistent in gratitude makes the difference. Gratitude allows me to have complete optimism and faith that everything is always working out for me.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

Hi, I’m Lauren- owner of Clearview Cleaning and Organizing based out of Lakewood Colorado. We specialize in an assortment of cleaning services (residential, commercial, post-construction, move in-move out) along with organizing/de-cluttering and hoard cleaning. Our goal is a customized approach to cleaning and organizing.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Persistence, Consistency, and Gratitude

Persistence in business is something that you can’t quit. Things are not going to always work out and you just have to keep going and have blind faith that it is going to work out.

Consistency, you have to stay consistent in every area especially regarding customers and employees they are the most important!

Gratitude for customers and employees- without them there is no business!

As we end our chat, is there a book you can leave people with that’s been meaningful to you and your development?

One of my favorites that has impacted both my personal and business life is “Unfu*ck Yourself” by Gary John Bishop. I have listened to this book more times than I can count.
Chapter 7 “I Am Relentless”
“True relentlessness comes when the only thing you have left is relentlessness” which this couldn’t be more fitting for business or life.
