We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Lauren Steward a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Lauren with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?
A loaded question! I will say my mother and father worked tirelessly my entire life to create stability and financial security for myself and my half brother. I started working at 14 years old and have worked since. I know for certain I can out work most- some may think that is a deficit in life and in business. However, I believe it is my super power. I will work harder and longer for customers and the people that work for me to ensure we are hitting the mark!

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
My name is Lauren, I own Clearview Cleaning and Organizing LLC we have been in business close to 4 years now and we are excited, grateful, and beyond thankful for the growth we have been able to achieve in a short period of time! Our goal is not only to provide a great service for new and existing customers- but continuing to accommodate all new customers, so we are not only able to provide a great service, but a service that is tailored to their particular needs!

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Customers are always the most important- without them we have no business!
Employees! Without stellar women/men that work with and for me- I would have no business!
Creating a work environment where everyone feels the most important customers and employees are the most important!
I try my best to appreciate the folks that work for me- not just saying thank you but showing your appreciation. Bonuses, dinners, extras! Customers deserve the same- Offering discounts for referrals, google reviews etc.

All the wisdom you’ve shared today is sincerely appreciated. Before we go, can you tell us about the main challenge you are currently facing?
The biggest goal in a small business like mine is systematizing much of the daily monotony- along with better understanding how to marry google and social media for advertising. I have two folks that are amazing and we are working toward a more cohesive way to solve much of the issues- along with a better CRM to deal with the systematization of many issues.
