Meet Lauryn Strobel

We recently connected with Lauryn Strobel and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Lauryn, you’ve got such an interesting story, but before we jump into that, let’s first talk about a topic near and dear to us – generosity. We think success, happiness and wellbeing depends on authentic generosity and empathy and so we’d love to hear about how you become such a generous person – where do you think your generosity comes from?

My generosity was inspired by my Oma (grandmother), a woman whose kindness and selflessness shaped my understanding of what it means to give. She showed me that true wealth lies in lifting others up and creating opportunities for those in need. Following her example, I’ve made it a core value of my business to donate a minimum of 3% of our profits to social and environmental charities. These contributions support causes that align with my vision of a better world—one where everyone has the chance to thrive, be happy, and prosper. Giving back is more than a responsibility; it’s a privilege and a way to honor the values passed down to me.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I’m the founder of two ethical clothing brands, Love Khaos, & Ekoluxe. My journey started with a passion for designing beautiful things that also make a positive impact. I’ve always believed that businesses have a unique ability to drive change, and I’ve woven that belief into everything I do.

Through my work, I aim to redefine how we think about fashion and lifestyle by creating products that are not only vibrant and bold but also environmentally conscious. My commitment to sustainability extends beyond the materials we use—I ensure that a minimum of 3% of our profits go toward social and environmental charities. It’s my way of replacing the resources we use and contributing to a world where everyone can thrive.

What excites me most about my work is its ability to spark joy and inspire connection. Whether it’s a festival inspired statement piece from Love Khaos or an eco-friendly design from Ekoluxe, I want people to feel empowered, seen, and part of something bigger.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

I think that resilience, adaptability and an open mind were the most impactful qualities and defining attributes of my journey. Resilience allowed me to navigate challenges with determination, adaptability helped me pivot when the unexpected happened, and an open mind kept me receptive to new ideas and opportunities. Together, these qualities have not only shaped my personal and professional growth but also allowed me to approach life with curiosity and a problem-solving mindset.

For those early in their journey, my advice is to start small but be consistent. Build resilience by celebrating progress, even in setbacks, and reminding yourself that every challenge is a stepping stone. Practice adaptability by embracing change as an opportunity to grow rather than something to fear. And foster an open mind by staying curious—listen to diverse perspectives, take on new experiences, and continuously ask questions. Over time, these qualities will evolve into strengths that guide you through life’s twists and turns with confidence and grace.
