We were lucky to catch up with LAWANDA MOORE recently and have shared our conversation below.
LAWANDA , we sincerely appreciate you joining us today and agreeing to talk about some very personal topics. So, to kick things off, let’s talk about a tough one – divorce. Can you talk to us about how you overcame divorce?
I overcame my divorce by being determined not to ever give up, walk in love, remain faithful to God and live a prayerful life. Going through a divorce really broke my heart, yet it fixed my focus. Sometimes in life we will be broken, bruised and battered. However, we must learn that as long as we are not buried, there’s still an opportunity to be bless all over again. And that was my mindset, because being divorce doesn’t mean you’re dead. It simple means that season of your life is dead but there’s still life after death. I had to press on in the midst of the process, shame and the pain because I had a destiny to fulfill, children to feed, a purpose to walk in and exemplify love. With that being said, I would have to say I overcame my divorce by having relentless faith, having a positive attitude, remaining prayerful and understanding that there’s life and love after a storm.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
My Faith with a great quality that played a major role on my journey. My skill of peace in the midst of pain, helped me tremendously on my journey. Also the knowledge that I was taught from life lessons and life experiences help me on my journey. Which leads me to giving anyone that’s on this journey of self improvement or self development, is that you should always be anchored in your faith. Life can be like a ship without a sailor but as long you have the anchor of faith, you’ll sail through life without fear, doubt or shame.
