Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Layla Milan. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Layla, so excited to have you with us today. So much we can chat about, but one of the questions we are most interested in is how you have managed to keep your creativity alive.

Keeping my creativity alive is one of the main objectives on my agenda. Many people may have a skill, or even a talent, but the creativity is what keeps the world wanting to know MORE. When I’m in my creative process and thoughts, the first thing that comes to mind is “What could I do to make me stand out?” “What can I do that everybody isn’t doing?”. Once I got the answer to that, I automatically started to think, grow, & develop outside the box. I wasn’t scared to do what others were scared to and that’s what made me stand out with my creativity & insanely bright ideas. You have to fully trust yourself and GOD, you have to learn yourself and make your own personal Character and just have fun with it. Just keep in mind that it all has to make sense!

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I am a Licensed Cosmetologist, specializing in Lash Extensions! Lash extensions are one of the most popular services out right now, it truly gives a girl the cherry on top of her natural look! What I love the most about my job is that I make females feel even prettier once I’m done. The art is mapping out lengths and curls to match many different eye shapes is so therapeutic and I’m learning more about eye lashes in general the more I lash! The main thing I’d want people to know about my brand is that LaylaMilan Lash will be going GLOBAL! Not only will we be known for lashes, we’ll be known for every beauty cosmetic enhancement there is! My goal is to have Layla Milan Brand in every store, every city, even different countries because I love to travel! I currently migrate to and from Philadelphia & Atlanta to expand my brand and can’t wait for the world to know Layla Milan.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Three most important qualities and skills that I feel every entrepreneur should definitely consider is Consistency, HIGH Belief in yourself & your brand & to always be able to be taught. You can never know everything in the world when it comes to anything you do. Always leave room to be taught because what you may know may be very little information to what another person can teach you! I always say it’s chess & not checkers in this world! You have to make the right moves in order to end up in the right rooms. The advice I give anybody that’s a beginner or even a pro is to NEVER give up! Always 100000% believe in yourself if nobody see’s the vision, you are YOU, nobody can do YOU like you! Whatever you want to do in life, use your energy to perfect it and master it! You’ll reach the stars.

Lately, I’ve been thinking to do more creative shoots and more content to show more of my brand and how much the color Pink impacted my brand + my life! Definitely looking forward to collaborating with more creative directors, photographers, & also celebrities! My goal is to reach celebrity clients and become a traveling lash artist/model!
