Meet LeAndre Barnett

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to LeAndre Barnett. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi LeAndre, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
Well since a child I always wanted to do something creative growing up as I got older I had a hard time finding my why due to circumstances, But I eventually found my purpose due to all the circumstances that could have stopped me along the way realizing that I can represent another kid like me by branding my name my purpose would identify with Transcending past expectations and constantly evolving with my surroundings all while being a black male raised in America.

Becoming a Artist, Designer, Creative Director and Business owner showing young creative kids like me growing up you can become who you feel you are let it all define you.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
Im an artist I started at age 4 I grew up not knowing exactly what to do with my talents but I eventually found multiple outlets and branded them. I started with fine art and then eventually started designing clothes due to some advice I received from Virgil Abloh, He advised me that my visual works translate well on clothing, so I spent the last couple years trying to learn how to brand that visual aesthetic with a brand which has led me to Leandre Supply co.

LeAndre Supply co. is to merge the contemporary worlds of
art, design and lifestyle into a curated
concept created and supplied by myself

Ive so far started with t-shirts hoodies and etc. but I eventually want to expand into other things with the brand like art shows, furniture, and other experiences.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Skill – I had to learn skill to enhance and even market my talent in order to get my ideas out there, skill comes from discipline which a daily thing I challenge myself with.

Patience – Understanding myself better required patience in order to not expect things and outcomes all the time and to know that things are layered with you manifest with the universe.

Resilience- I don’t know how I gained resilience but I never stop trying or creating, Im never afraid to try things or keep pushing an idea out there even if its not understood. I don’t know maybe I feel Ive climbed so far up and its to late to climb back down.

Alright, so before we go we want to ask you to take a moment to reflect and share what you think you would do if you somehow knew you only had a decade of life left?
Balance with my normal life and this trying to understand how to blend my lifestyles to together.
