Meet Leandro Ricciardelli Fernandez

We recently connected with Leandro Ricciardelli Fernandez and have shared our conversation below.

Leandro, thank you so much for joining us. You are such a positive person and it’s something we really admire and so we wanted to start by asking you where you think your optimism comes from?
My optimism stems from my passion for architecture and design, fuelling belief in our project’s vision. Collaborating with a New York studio, we’re crafting unique cabins, distinct from Georgia’s offerings. With investors secured, we’re set to build two cabins in 2024. Excited for Drom.space’s journey ahead!

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
After 20+ years in Films and Advertising, collaborating with art directors and builders, I’ve harbored a deep-seated aspiration to venture into building and designing living and working spaces. The time feels ripe to embark on this new journey, fueled by years of experience and a passion for crafting spaces that inspire and resonate.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Looking back, what really made a difference for me were being able to roll with the punches, loving what I do, and bouncing back from setbacks. To those just starting out, I’d say: take a good look at what you really want to do. Be ready for a wild ride because it’s not always smooth sailing. Just keep pushing forward and staying true to your passion, no matter what comes your way.

Any advice for folks feeling overwhelmed?
If today turns out to be a rough day, stay positive. Remember, tomorrow brings another chance to make things better. Keep your head up, don’t give up.
