Meet Leandro Taub

We recently connected with Leandro Taub and have shared our conversation below.

Leandro, so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.
Humility to recognize where I come from and where I am going, what I have and what I do not have, what I can and what I can not, what I got and what I did not get. By recognizing these, I can develop healthy self-esteem. And to have a healthy one allows me not to think more than I am, nor less. No need to pretend I have something I do not. No need to show myself as someone I am not. Appreciate the gifts G’d gave me and learn how to use them wisely.

Huimilty truly opens us up to the world. A humble person who drives his immense ambition for the good of the world becomes an agent of change in the world.

The world we use for humility in Hebrew is Anavah, which comes from the world Anu (to respond). Humility is responsibility. The one who understands the gifts that G’d gave him, is responsible for those gifts and responds to the world (and to G’d) by serving the world (and G’d) through them.

“Humility is not thinking less of yourself, it is thinking of yourself less.” C.S. Lewis
“True humility… doesn’t mean underestimate yourself. It means valuing other people.” Rabbi Jonathan Sacks
“Your talent is a gift that G’d has given you. What you do with it is your gift to G’d.” Leo Buscaglia

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
To listen with attention To ask wisely and with humility
To honor everyone

These are three qualities that were very impactful in my journey (still they are) and that I advice to folks who are early in their journey.

As we end our chat, is there a book you can leave people with that’s been meaningful to you and your development?
The Torah (the Bible).

No doubt about it.
It is a book I study almost daily and have been reading for years. Inside of it, I find solutions for so many areas in my life, on how to run a business, on how to relate to the other, on how to communicate, on how to live.

One way to brief this book into a sentence is what Hillel said, “What is hateful to you, do not do to your neighbor”.
