Meet Leanne Kenny

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Leanne Kenny. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Leanne, thank you so much for joining us and offering your lessons and wisdom for our readers. One of the things we most admire about you is your generosity and so we’d love if you could talk to us about where you think your generosity comes from.

Honestly, it starts with my grandpa. He was the most selfless man I’ve ever known. He didn’t have a lot, but he always gave like he did. He had this quiet way of taking care of people, he’d cook a full meal for anyone who needed it, no questions asked. I’ll never forget how, whenever one of us kids was having a bad day, he’d come home with an Oh Henry chocolate bar, just to bring a little joy. It was his way of saying, “I see you. I care.” He also never forgot where he came from. I remember him collecting clothes from friends and family here in Canada, packing them into boxes, and shipping them back to Vietnam for people who needed them most. It wasn’t charity to him, it was responsibility. He taught me that true generosity means looking beyond yourself, beyond borders, and choosing to care even when no one’s watching. That stayed with me. It’s why I founded Gifted Angels in 2019. Every month, our team prepares blessing bags filled with essentials: hygiene items, snacks, socks and hand-delivers them to underserved communities in Los Angeles, Vancouver, Edmonton, and Toronto. It’s not about handouts, it’s about human connection. It’s about reminding someone they’re seen, worthy, and not forgotten. Humanity is a choice we make daily and kindness will always be the highest currency. That same spirit carries through everything I do, including Curve Marketing and Curve Academy. I teach my students that building wealth means nothing if you don’t know how to give back. We build businesses with heart. We scale with purpose. Because success, to me, has always meant making sure someone else gets to rise with you.

So if you’re asking where I got my generosity from it was passed down from my grandfather. But the decision to live by it every single day? That’s mine.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

The Three Most Impactful Qualities in My Journey

Looking back, the three qualities that have shaped my journey the most are resilience, vision, and resourcefulness.

1. Resilience
No one talks enough about how lonely and hard the journey can be. There were moments I doubted everything. Times when nothing made sense on paper, and I felt like I was pouring from an empty cup. But I kept going. Resilience is what separates those who dream from those who build. It’s the ability to get up, recalibrate, and move forward, even if it’s just one small step at a time.

Advice: Protect your mindset like it’s your most valuable asset. Surround yourself with people who want to see you win. And when you fall, fall forward. Every setback has a lesson that will strengthen your next move.

2. Vision
From the very beginning, I could see the end before I started. I’ve always believed in speaking things into existence, even when no one else could see it yet. Whether it was building Curve Marketing/Academy or launching Gifted Angels, I held onto the vision and let it guide my decisions. That clarity helped me make bold moves even in times of uncertainty.

Advice: Write your vision down. Speak it often. Stay connected to why you’re doing what you’re doing, especially on the hard days. Your vision is the anchor that keeps you grounded when the waves hit.

3. Resourcefulness
I didn’t come from wealth. I built everything from the ground up by researching, testing, failing, and trying again. I learned how to use what I had, who I knew, and what I could find. I leveraged free tools, watched tutorials, and asked a million questions. That mindset taught me how to thrive with or without money.

Advice: Don’t wait until things are perfect to start. Use what you have. Ask questions. Take free classes. Study how others do it and apply what works. Resourcefulness turns limitations into opportunities.

If you’re early in your journey, just know this. You don’t need to have it all figured out. You just need to be consistent, open to growth, and willing to bet on yourself. Every expert was once a beginner. What sets them apart is that they never stopped learning.
