Hi Lecasshius, so excited to talk about all sorts of important topics with you today. The first one we want to jump into is about being the only one in the room – for some that’s being the only person of color or the only non-native English speaker or the only non-MBA, etc Can you talk to us about how you have managed to be successful even when you were the only one in the room that looked like you?

Even when I am the only one in the room that looks like me, I continue to be the intelligent charismatic person that I am. I rely on the knowledge I already have, but I also rely on the ability for me to be open to learning new things as the world moves forward.
It’s not an easy task to maintain yourself, Example: When you have a friend that may be from another state that has an accent, over time some people tend to pick up the accent. Even in that situation I try to the best of my ability to maintain my authenticity.

Lecasshius Stargell, known as ceodollasign in the music industry, began his career as a party and gentlemen’s club promoter. This experience paved the way for his first A&R job at Sony, where he gained important knowledge about music. Working alongside top artists in Atlanta, he realized it was time to commit seriously to his music career.

Lecasshius Stargell rebranded his company to support all music genres and expanded into producer licensing agreements. Element Creative Group and Element Distribution and Publishing is positioned as a leading creative branding and distribution company, focusing on maximizing royalty and streaming payouts for artists and creatives while enhancing their global engagement. The company boasts the second-highest payouts in the entertainment industry, following only LiveMixtapes, with whom they maintain a strong partnership. Element aims to foster a safe and effective environment for creators to thrive.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

He believes that maintaining a positive perspective and finding the silver lining has been crucial to his career success. Additionally, he emphasizes his ability to adapt to new areas and territories while remaining authentic to himself.

Lecasshius Stargell identifies two influential books in his life: “Holes” by Louis Sachar and “A Series of Unfortunate Events” by Lemony Snicket. He admires the resilience and determination of the characters in these stories, which served as motivation during his youth. Their ability to overcome adversity helped shape his focus-driven mindset.
