Meet Leigh Jones

We recently connected with Leigh Jones and have shared our conversation below.

Leigh, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?

My purpose comes from a deep love for storytelling—the kind that moves people, creates emotion, and captures the essence of a moment. I always knew I was a creative person, due to the hobbies I enjoyed, all the way up to my career choices. I come from a software engineering background, which is a very creative role- to be able to bring an idea to life with numbers and letters.

After leaving the corporate world, I wanted to tap into my creativity and share my gift with the world, and I bought my very first camera! However, a few months later, my mother was diagnosed with ALS. My Dad and I became her caretakers up until she passed away. I had a lot of GRIEF to process….and that’s when I started uploading my videos to Youtube. So in a way, pain was fueling my creativity, resilience, hustle mentality, and the way I crafted my story to tell.

From the beginning, I’ve always been drawn to visuals that feel alive—the way light shapes a scene, how a well-placed cut can shift an entire mood, how a single frame can make you feel something real. I don’t just create content; I craft experiences.

My brand, Leigh Visuals, exists to bridge creativity and connection. Whether it’s through cinematic vlogs, behind-the-scenes filmmaking, or breaking down the creative process, my goal is to inspire, educate, and elevate those on their own creative journey.

My purpose is rooted in growth—not just my own, but helping others see their potential, refine their vision, and bring their ideas to life. I want to inspire self-expression in others. This isn’t just about cameras, edits, or aesthetics—it’s about building something bigger.

I create because I believe every moment has a story worth telling. And through Leigh Visuals, I’m here to make sure those stories are told the right way.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

Who is Leigh Visuals?
I specialize in cinematic storytelling, digital content creation, and visual artistry. Whether through video production or creative direction, my goal is to turn everyday moments into compelling, immersive experiences. I create content that feels alive—visuals that evoke emotion, inspire action, and leave a lasting impression.

What Makes Leigh Visuals Special?
What excites me most about my work is the ability to capture and translate emotions visually. Storytelling isn’t just about what you see—it’s about what you feel. Through thoughtful editing, and intentional color grading, I craft content that goes beyond aesthetics and creates a deep connection with the audience.

Another aspect that sets Leigh Visuals apart is my commitment to authenticity. Whether I’m working on a cinematic vlog, breaking down my creative process, or sharing the real, unfiltered journey of building as a creator, I want people to see not just the polished final product—but the process, the struggles, and the evolution behind it.

What’s New with Leigh Visuals?
Right now, I’m focused on building new client relationships, growing my community, and growing my YouTube channel to 100K subscribers, where I document my journey, share filmmaking insights, and help other creators elevate their craft. I’m also experimenting with new storytelling formats, creative collaborations, and unique content strategies that push the boundaries of digital storytelling.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Show up for yourself! Everyday. Even on days where you do not feel like it. Second, make sure you are consistent with whatever you do- it pays off. Thirdly, changing your mindset- our mind is very powerful, and our thinking can change our trajectory.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

One of my goals is to work with brands in the hospitality industry- hotel resorts, restaurants, luxury travel! I’m also into documenting and storytelling professional athletes.

If anyone wants to get in touch, they can contact me through my website or shoot an email over to [email protected]!
