We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Len May. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Len below.
Hi Len, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
Finding my passion has been a journey of exploration and alignment. I’ve discovered my purpose by actively engaging in a variety of activities and making changes when I realized things were out of alignment with my true self. Here are some key steps I take to find and nurture my passion:
Setting Inspiring Goals: I focus on setting goals that genuinely inspire me and resonate with my aspirations.
Understanding My Values: I identify my core values and make them non-negotiable, ensuring that my actions are always aligned with what matters most to me.
Exploring My Strengths: I pay attention to my natural talents and skills, leveraging them to pursue activities that feel fulfilling.
Experimenting and Exploring: I try new things and explore different interests, which helps me discover what truly excites me.
Seeking Inspiration: I look to others who inspire me, learning from their journeys and integrating valuable insights into my own path.
However, I recognize that there are two areas where I can improve: being patient and trusting my inner voice. Sometimes, I might rush the process or doubt my intuition, but I’m continually working on being more patient and attentive to my inner guidance. Overall, finding my passion is an ongoing process of self-discovery and alignment.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Looking back, the three qualities that have had the most impact on my journey are:
Adaptability: Working in the evolving fields of cannabis and personalized medicine, I’ve had to stay flexible. From early advocacy days to launching EndoDNA, the industry has changed dramatically. I think being able to shift gears, whether it was navigating regulations or applying cutting-edge science, has been key. You have to be willing to embrace change and turn it into an opportunity.
Curiosity: I’ve always had a natural curiosity about how things work, especially when it comes to how our bodies function. This curiosity drove me to explore the intersection of genomics, cannabis, and personalized health. I’ve never stopped asking, “How can we make things better?” That mindset has helped me stay ahead and innovate, especially with EndoDNA.
Empathy: At the end of the day, it’s about people. Whether it’s helping someone understand their DNA or guiding them on their wellness journey, you need to truly connect with them. I’ve learned that listening and understanding someone’s personal story makes a huge difference in how we approach our work. Empathy isn’t just a quality; it’s essential when you’re in the business of helping people live better lives.
First, adaptability is all about mindset. The only constant is change, especially in industries like health, wellness, or cannabis. You need to be open to learning and unlearning. Don’t get too attached to one way of doing things. Take every challenge as an opportunity to grow. Surround yourself with people who think differently than you—that’s how you learn to adapt to new perspectives and changes.
When it comes to curiosity, I’d say never stop asking questions. Dive deep into areas that fascinate you, even if they don’t seem directly related to your field. For me, combining genomics and the endocannabinoid system wasn’t a straightforward path, but my curiosity pushed me to explore that intersection. Stay curious, and don’t be afraid to follow those paths that might seem unconventional—they could lead to your next breakthrough.
And empathy, this one’s critical. It starts with listening. Whether you’re working with a team, clients, or even your own personal growth, you need to listen deeply. Understand where people are coming from, and don’t rush to respond. It’s easy to get caught up in your own vision, but the real magic happens when you tap into the human element. That’s what really drives impact, both for yourself and others.
So if you’re just starting, focus on staying open, stay curious, and always lead with empathy. These qualities are like muscles—you’ve got to work on them regularly. Keep evolving, and never stop learning from others.
How can folks who want to work with you connect?
Absolutely, we’re always looking to collaborate with passionate professionals, especially those in the healthcare space, who are committed to pushing the boundaries of personalized medicine. Specifically, we’re looking to partner with healthcare professionals focused on integrative and functional medicine. These are the folks who really understand the importance of treating the whole person—mind, body, and genetics—rather than just the symptoms.
Our EndoDNA tests are a powerful tool for creating true precision health and wellness. By reselling these tests, practitioners can offer their patients personalized insights that are unique to their genetic makeup, helping to inform everything from dietary recommendations to treatment plans with cannabinoids and more. We see this as the future of health and wellness—treating each individual based on their own biology.
If you’re a healthcare professional who believes in the power of genetically tailored wellness, we’d love to connect and explore how we can work together to bring personalized health solutions to more people. You can reach out to me directly at [your email/contact info], or visit our site to learn more about how we can collaborate.
Let’s create a new standard of care together.
