We were lucky to catch up with Leo Cavada recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Leo, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?
I get my resilience from my past.
I had a lot of problems with racism and bullying when I was young, but I never gave up. Actually, I wrote a song about this called “better than me” talking about the fact that there’s no colors, just one race.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

What can I say? My name is Leo (stands for Leonardo), I’m Brazilian and I’m a multi-platinum artist and producer.
I was born in Brazil and was adopted by an Italian family.
I grew up in Milan with a single obsession, that of becoming an internationally recognized artist. Why this obsession? I saw Michael Jackson at the age of 6 on television, a live performance at the Grammy Awards that I will never forget.
That day I understood that my life should be based on singing, dancing and pure art, and so it was!
I studied dance, singing, acting and music production for years but the greatest lesson was understanding that a successful artist has a message, a mission, and the ability to excite and convey that same message to people with energy, courage, coherence. and the most unbridled of passions.
My music and my lyrics are the fulcrum of all this, they are the beating heart of my mission, that is to transmit strength, self-confidence, spirituality, constant and continuous self-improvement, dedicated to all those who listen to me and who believe that there is always a chance to become the best version of ourselves and that it is never too late to change one’s life despite the challenges the universe puts in our path.
I don’t feel special, we all are, each of us is special because each of us is made in our own way, with our flaws and our strengths, but with a single spark that distinguishes us, and it is that spark that makes it possible change and the ability to shine by believing in it all the way.
After a tour in Europe and another in Russia, I am now traveling around Italy sharing my mission with my supporters and all my fans. At the end of the summer I will start again with a new European tour, I can’t wait!
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
My journey has been bombarded by positive and negative situations that have changed me over the years and which have consequently changed my way of seeing life and my work, also changing the organizational and executive dynamics of it.
During my journey I had the opportunity to learn new skills that helped me improve myself, change myself, get to know myself better and give me new lifeblood.
If I had to show you three now, I would start with my spirituality because it has been (and still is) my greatest source of energy in everything I do, starting from my music to trying to be a good father, a good husband as well as a good entrepreneur and team mate for my team and all my staff during my tour.
in second place I put study, there is no better improvement without the choice to improve your skills regardless of whatever your sector is.
My father says “knowledge is everything” and I believe there is nothing more true. If you want to be better than you are now, you must prepare to learn everything you need to expand your knowledge and skills.
In third place I put courage, many people think that courage is not a skill but a character trait and I humbly think it is completely wrong.
Courage can be learned, courage can be instilled in the minds of those who feel they can change themselves and their lives!
There cannot be profound change without having the courage to face all the challenges necessary to accomplish your greatest mission, just as there can be no escape from a comfort zone without a massive dose of tenacity, resilience and courage.
This applies to everyone, to all human beings and to any sector.

There are no shortcuts either for personal improvement or for the fulfillment of our future, we must manifest ourselves and project ourselves towards our own greatness by working hard, nullifying our ego and allowing our mind to learn and expand to the maximum of its capabilities.
Thanks so much for sharing all these insights with us today. Before we go, is there a book that’s played in important role in your development?
If I have to mention a book or books that have undoubtedly contributed to my change and development, I absolutely have to give you some titles.
– The secret by Rhonda Byrne
– Life Force by Tony Robbins
– Unlimited power by Tony Robbins
– The power of now by Eckart Tolle
I advise anyone who wants to change their life and career to read them and make these books part of their soul
