Le’Quae, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
Finding your purpose is not an easy subject that you can find right away. For some, it can take someone late in life to find. For me, art is my passion, in which I found out at a very young age before most find out. I knew in Pre-K & Kindergarten that my passion was art. The key moment that helped me find out was ,noticing that my drawings ( at a very young age ) was better then my peers. Another noticable moment, was when I saw that most of my family knew how to draw as well. Those in my family with art backround includes my Dad, Brother, Uncles & Cousins. Just about everyone lol
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
My focus is using my gift / talent of art to make people happy & try to make the world a better place through art. I feel like art is therapeutic. There has been many artist that inspire me that use art to tell a story & make people feel what they are showing. One example of an artist that I’m inspired by are, Picasso , Leonardo & the rest of the ninja turtles lol. For those that don’t know, the ninja turtles are names after famous artist. Now I see why I fell in love with that cartoon.
My brand name is Fantasydesignz. My service focuses on being known to not just make art but, solve people’s problems. If you can solve someone problem you can build a long term relationship because the art come naturally. My brand name fantasy came me loving different art styles, therefore it was like a fantasy world. That is how I came up with the name.
Recently ( Aug 25th ) I have had the honor of making a flyer for The White House. My team Talk Heavy Radio ( Radio One Baltimore ) was invited from the WNBA since we are the official media for them. Before working with radio I have had a lot of big opportunities but working with radio really put the icing on the cake. I am super grateful for that.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
I believe the most important skills to have in anything that’s you do are communication, faith, & respect. Without that it is hard to navigate through life in general. Another skill to have is the will of not giving up. When you feel like giving up, just push harder!!! Your dream or task is just a minor hard test that will get easy once the big man above see that you are trying. You will learn from this & can help others accomplish task or dreams of theirs.
What’s been one of your main areas of growth this year?
My biggest area of growth in the past 12 months has been to keep pushing when things get hard. It’s ok to take a break but, not for too long. I have learned to communicate more as well. If you don’t communicate or try, how can someone understand & assist you ? Some these lessons I have learned early on but as you get older things get complicated. With age & time you will definitely figure some of it out.
