Meet LeSean McCall

We recently connected with LeSean McCall and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have LeSean with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?

I get my work ethic from experience, purpose, and knowing I’m the one I’ve been waiting for.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

My name is Lesean and I am the owner and creator behind My Bath Bar. At My Bath Bar, I create handmade, plant-based body care designed to support not just your skin—but your spirit, too. What started as a personal wellness journey has evolved into a brand rooted in clean, intentional self-care rituals. Every product, from our cold process soaps to our roll-on perfume oils, is made with high-performance ingredients and healing energy in mind.

What excites me most is how our products invite people to transform their everyday routines into sacred experiences. Our customers aren’t just washing up—they’re grounding, resetting, and honoring their bodies. That intention lives in every bar, bottle, and blend we offer.

What sets us apart is our dual-formula approach: Purist for those who want earth-first, minimal formulas, and Performance for those who want that extra boost of skin-loving actives—all while staying true to plant-based values. We’re not here to chase trends—we’re here to create impact.

We’re currently gearing up for the launch of our Conscious Care Club subscription box. It’s a rotating, seasonal collection of products and rituals that help our customers stay rooted through intentional self-care. And behind the scenes, I’m documenting our journey—from a garage-based business to a future dedicated workshop space—because I believe in the beauty of the glow-up.

If you’re seeking skin care that feels as good as it smells, made by someone who truly honors the ritual of self-care, then you’re in the right place.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Looking back, the three qualities that had the biggest impact on my journey were: curiosity, consistency, and clarity of purpose.
I didn’t come into this space as a formulator—I came in as someone trying to solve a personal problem. Curiosity led me to research plant-based remedies, study cosmetic science, and ask why certain ingredients worked and others didn’t. That hunger to learn turned into a skill set that now shapes every product I make.
There were times I was tired, unsure, or juggling too much—but showing up, even when I didn’t feel ready, made the biggest difference. From crafting soaps in my garage to managing emails and Instagram posts, staying consistent helped me build trust with myself and my audience.
Knowing why I started—healing my own skin, offering intentional care, building a brand that centers spiritual and physical wellness—keeps me focused. That clarity is what helps me say no to distractions and yes to what’s aligned.

If you’re just starting out, remember: you don’t have to rush to be polished. You just need to be honest, open to growth, and willing to keep going. Everything else unfolds with time.

Is there a particular challenge you are currently facing?

Right now, my biggest challenge with My Bath Bar is balancing production and marketing while growing my audience enough to turn that growth into consistent sales. The tricky part is making sure I’m not spending so much time creating products that I forget to promote them—or promoting so much that I fall behind on production.

To overcome this, I’ve set a rhythm for my week—certain days for production, certain days for content, and a day dedicated to admin and marketing pushes—so I can keep momentum without decision fatigue.
