We were lucky to catch up with Lesley Triplitt recently and have shared our conversation below.
Lesley , we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
My internal purpose and purpose for our business coincided and flowed into one which created our wallpaper design business, Anointed Rooms. The Holy Spirit began waking me up with sketches and visions plus biblical scripture, which created God’s word on walls.
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
We design, manufacture and install wallpaper that inspires spiritual growth in Jesus Christ, Father God, and the Holy Spirit. Currently, we carry five exclusive designs. We most enjoy collaborating with our clients in creating custom scriptural wall paper for their home or commercial space. Our favorite niche is creating a dedicated prayer room in the interior portion of the home.
In the 1950’s-60’s, US homeowners built bomb shelters for fear of nuclear war. While bomb shelters are no longer necessary the need for a dedicated prayer room has never been greater. For we do not fight against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12
In 2015, I began realizing the need and importance of dedicated space and time to be alone with God, the ultimate creator and designer. The next 5 years brought an uplifting idea to offer design services that transform underused spaces into dedicated prayer rooms. Our vision is to increase awareness for the need of a room dedicated to prayer.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
A skill that I had to make a daily routine was waking early and reading God’s word, asking the Holy Spirit to speak to me through His word. Knowledge is power; power leverages motion and motion turns. Twenty four hour news and social media has shifted our culture significantly, and it doesn’t want us to know how to blush anymore.
Personal healing and deliverance are essential for spiritual growth; you can not have one without the other. Therapy with a Licensed Professional Counselor that is a professing Christian, with a solid reputation is pivotal in the healing process.
Demon oppression is real amongst Christians. A shift is happening and revival will continue to spread like wildfire, I want to be in God’s flow and timing and help others heal. Raising up laborers for God’s harvest is essential in this current day. Find a Holy Spirit filled group of believers if you can’t find it in your church, but do seek a church that is Holy Spirit filled and stands on the word of God.
Who has been most helpful in helping you overcome challenges or build and develop the essential skills, qualities or knowledge you needed to be successful?
My husband, Andy, has been a consistent support building our brand and growing Anointed Rooms. He left his corporate job in 2020 and went into full time ministry, so we are in constant collaboration. We explored several avenues on how to start Anointed Rooms and his steadfast countenance, incredible financial business mind from corporate management helped us foundationally.
