Meet Lexi Santana

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Lexi Santana. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Lexi, we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?

Developing my confidence has been and will continue to be a life long journey.
A huge factor that plays a roll in building my confidence is recognizing the authority over the direction of my life and the power that came with having that realization.
There were many times along the way of establishing my business that adversity confronted me boldly. With every obstacle I faced I had to chose to push forward with valiant effort or choose to sacrifice growth while being consumed with anxiety.
Choosing to lean into challenging moments, despite fear of the unknown, taught me to trust myself. It taught me that it’s okay to be patient in making decisions because the only person rushing to meet a goal is myself. It showed me I’m capable of overcoming hardships, that I can steer the wheel of my life and step into being the radiant woman I’m destined to be.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I own an establishment called Lavish Looks Beauty Lounge where I provide space for other women-owned businesses who offer beauty services. I have a room for myself there where I do individual lash extensions & brow sculpting. Although I love the artistry of the services I offer, what I enjoy most is the relationships I build with the women who lay in my chair. At Lavish, beautiful connections are formed & it presents an opportunity to encourage women in their walk of life. I’ve learned that building women up is the true focus behind what I do! Helping boost their confidence by enhancing their outward beauty and speaking life into them to help them see their God-given, inward beauty is the most rewarding part of owning Lavish Looks Beauty Lounge.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

The most impactful skills I’ve developed along the way of establishing my business are becoming a life-long learner, resilience, and finding balance.

Continuing to improve in my craft is a non-negotiable for me. It can be easy to have reached a new level of success and stay where you are for too long. However, trends are constantly changing and to stay relevant & reputable it’s important to keep up or be the trend setter. Embracing learning as an ongoing process has set me a part & allows me to offer a top quality experience.

Being able to adapt to & recover from challenging situations has allowed me to keep my eye on the long term goal while also teaching me valuable lessons along the way.
Resilience helps me refine my plans, develop new ideas, & thrive in unexpected ways.

Maintaining balance is my biggest advice to new entrepreneurs. Burnout is so common due for a ravenous desire to succeed. Taking time every day to nurture your body & mind and taking multiple days off from work to recharge is essential to reaching new heights.

Awesome, really appreciate you opening up with us today and before we close maybe you can share a book recommendation with us. Has there been a book that’s been impactful in your growth and development?

The Bible has been the most impactful book on my life & my development. As a creative, learning the perspective of our creator has allowed me to cultivate patience, grace, & humility in my business & with people. It has showed me how to love selflessly & give cheerfully. It has taught me to see the heart of people and deepen my connection with them.
