We were lucky to catch up with Linda K Edwards recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Linda K, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
How I found my purpose was through the many opportunities and experiences I’ve acquired throughout my life. For as long as I can remember as a child into my adulthood, I was always interested in helping people in anyway I could whether it was to make them smile, help to do a task, engage in conversation or to give them uplift and encouragement. As I became an adult my desire and passion grew, so then I decided to pursue my education to work in the medical field as an LPN. I worked among the mentally challenged adults, children and the elderly. Besides my upbringing these have also contributed to my development of kindness, compassion, understanding, patience and empathy. My customer service, sales, promotional and brand awareness, has also helped me to strengthen my speaking skills and engagement with others. This is how I clearly knew that It was my divine purpose to help people on a broader spectrum.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
As I look back I truly believe that some of the qualities, skills or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in my journey is my mind set, dedication and passion. Your mind set has to align with your beliefs and to make sense of things that are around you and for you to know yourself. Dedication is something we must have to execute whatever is our purpose. Passion is what you should have when you are content with what you are doing and willing to pursue it constantly. My advice to anyone who is early in their journey or already navigating through Is to make sure that it’s something you don’t mind committing to long term. Make sure you have the passion for what you are doing. Last but not least, no matter what don’t give up!
What’s been one of your main areas of growth this year?
My biggest area of growth in the past 12 months is staying focus on what’s in front of me and having boundaries. What has also become very important to me more so, is to maintain my balance and peace of mind.
