Meet Linda King

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Linda King. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Linda , so excited to have you with us today. So much we can chat about, but one of the questions we are most interested in is how you have managed to keep your creativity alive.

I keep my creativity alive by being open to life and experiences.

Creativity comes from the most unexpected places and doesn’t announce its arrival.

You need to be open and ready to accept it. Channel the creativity and create write something that will entertain and please your readers.

Writing is where my creativity shines. Travel and engaging with others is where I gain most of my inspiration from. If you are passionate about what you do, the creativity naturally flows.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I’m an author, writer, travel blogger and travel coach. I’m also the Founder of The Smart Travelista. Travelling smarter without the huge cost. My background is in travel so as a travel expert, I guide travellers to make the most out of their money so they can travel more.

As an author, I have written 11 travel books over two book series – The Smart Travelista Guides and Antics from Abroad.
I share travel tips in The Smart Travelista Guides on various travel topics and Antics from Abroad is travel stories where everything that could possibly go wrong does!

Travel coaching is a new service offered by The Smart Travelista where you can get one on one coaching in specific travel topics. https://www.thesmarttravelista.com/travel-coaching/

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

The three areas that have been most impactful in my journey are – travel, money management and business knowledge.

My advice to others, is do what you love and are passionate about. It won’t feel like work and you will be more authentic in your brand. The twinkle in your eye when you talk about your passion can’t be faked!

If you knew you only had a decade of life left, how would you spend that decade?

I would travel to the places I haven’t seen in the world. I wouldn’t worry about the cost because you can’t take the money you have with you when you die, so I would enjoy it while I was still alive.

I would write as much as I could so there is a legacy of my writing for others to enjoy after I’m gone.

I would also spend as much time as I could with family and friends and made sure they knew how much they meant to me.

Things I had been putting off to do until later, I would do them now.
