Meet Lindsey Freeman

We were lucky to catch up with Lindsey Freeman recently and have shared our conversation below.

Lindsey, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?

Finding purpose is a big deal, and I believe we have many purposes to live out in this lifetime. Purpose lives at the intersection of intuition-based actions and allowing yourself to trust the process, even when it doesn’t make sense. It’s about honoring the trial and error of the journey. Purpose is when you wake up each morning knowing you’re doing exactly what you’re meant to do. You feel so lit up by life, so in alignment, that nothing could feel better.

In finding my purpose, I had to explore deeply, try things on, and let things go. It’s been a process to get to where I am now, but there’s no doubt I’m on the right track. It took me eight years to follow one of my passions because I didn’t believe it made sense or fit into the work I was doing at the time. I didn’t want to take the time to sit down and plan what that might look like for me. Yet the universe kept bringing me back to this modality. Anytime I felt lost, I returned to Human Design to learn more about myself from a new perspective. It reinvigorated my decisions by reminding me who I am, allowing me to experiment with what resonated with me at that moment.

It wasn’t until I met my core group of friends that I fully stepped into the version of myself I always knew I was. I could speak a language that resonated with them, without fear or judgment. As I leaned more into who I truly am, I realized how much I LOVE this version of me. Authenticity flows naturally when you honor who you are. The more aligned your decisions become, the more the universe gifts you the next steps toward living your purpose.

I found my purpose through experimenting with new experiences, trying on different identities, taking what resonated, and leaving behind what didn’t. It involved lots of failures and trials, but by honoring what I’m naturally drawn to, I found liberation in becoming who I’m meant to be. My mission now is to empower others to take risks on themselves, so we can all create from our most aligned selves and share our most potent work with the world. We’re all designed for greatness.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I am currently in the process of merging both of my businesses into one cohesive entity. Earlier this year, I launched Designed to be Human, which focuses on building a biz aligned with your unique energy and the gifts you’re here to share with the world. For the past five years, I’ve run my branding studio, Play & Public, helping small to medium-sized businesses feel fully expressed in their biz. While launching my second business was exciting, I realized it didn’t make sense to manage two separate businesses that kept me stuck in 1-to-1 work, trading all my time for money (the old way of being)—especially as a Projector, a non-energy type meant to guide others to success. Instead, I’m creating one cohesive business that allows me to make a greater impact, build a community I love, and have more freedom to travel and simply be (new way of being).

As I teach others to create businesses aligned with their energy, I realized I needed to be my own number one student. So, I’m inviting my community along for the ride as I combine both businesses. I’m shifting from a purely 1-to-1 business model to more intimate group programs, self-study courses, and other offerings. I’m integrating my branding studio into Designed to be Human, building a framework that supports entrepreneurs on their journey from feeling ‘Burnt Out’ to embodying ‘Big Biz Energy.’

Big Biz Energy is the ultimate transformation I offer, found at the intersection of being a Highly Potent Human, having a Highly Potent Biz, and building a Highly Potent Brand. Each phase of the process is designed to cultivate this powerful alignment. I believe the future of business lies in energetics, and more people are questioning the cookie-cutter frameworks they’ve followed from online templates.

Now, imagine an intentional biz where every day is designed to honor your unique energy, where products are created from your soul, and wealth is generated with ease. This is possible for anyone willing to look a little deeper at what they’ve created, reflect on where they want to be in the next 2 to 5 years, and implement structures that provide freedom within them. That’s where potent creation happens—and it’s where the magic gets shared with the world.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Looking back, I’d say the three qualities that had the greatest impact on my journey were curiosity, a deep desire to learn, and connection. These have been the pillars of my growth and success as a business owner.

Curiosity is essential. It’s not just about exploring new ideas, but about being curious with yourself—asking the tough questions and being willing to face answers that might be uncomfortable. This self-inquiry is where true growth happens, both personally and professionally. It helps you stay open to new possibilities and adapt as your business evolves.

A deep desire to learn goes hand in hand with curiosity. Business is an ever-changing landscape, and to thrive, you must commit to continuous learning. Whether it’s learning new skills, refining your processes, or building new frameworks that work for your unique energy and business model, this hunger for knowledge will keep you ahead of the curve.

Connection is the third key. Building and nurturing relationships is critical because your network is your greatest resource. Whether it’s finding your next ideal client or collaborating on a new project, opportunities come through the people you meet. Stay open, connect with as many people as possible, and build meaningful relationships. You never know where the next breakthrough might come from.

For those just starting their journey, my advice is to cultivate these three qualities. Stay curious about yourself and your business, never stop learning, and make connection a priority. By focusing on these, you’ll create a foundation for long-term success and fulfillment.

As we end our chat, is there a book you can leave people with that’s been meaningful to you and your development?
