Meet Lindsey Landwehrle

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Lindsey Landwehrle. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Lindsey, thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights and lessons with us today. We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you became such a resilient person. Where do you get your resilience from?

I credit my resilience to a few key influences in my life. Growing up with a single working mom who ran her own business showed me firsthand the power of independence, grit, and hard work. Watching her balance so much on her own instilled in me a deep understanding that challenges can be overcome with determination and focus.

I also grew up immersed in competitive sports, from childhood through college, where I learned discipline, teamwork, and how to push through setbacks. That environment taught me not only how to perform under pressure but also how to adapt quickly when things don’t go as planned.

Today, as an entrepreneur, I carry those lessons with me. My positive outlook, combined with my ability to multitask and stay flexible, allows me to face obstacles head-on and keep moving forward. Resilience, to me, is about persistence, adaptability, and the belief that every challenge has a solution — qualities that have shaped both my personal life and my career.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I’m the founder of Spruce Skin, a skin and wellness center in Boston dedicated to helping people feel confident in their skin through education, transparency, and high-quality care. I’m also the creator of Glowdose, a skincare line designed to simplify routines while delivering effective, medical-grade results.

What excites me most about my work is the blend of science and artistry. As a nurse practitioner, I love bringing a clinical, evidence-based approach to skin health, but I also see aesthetics as a form of self-expression and empowerment. My goal is always to educate while treating — I want my patients and followers to understand their skin, not just fix it.

Right now, I’m especially energized about the advances in regenerative aesthetics — treatments that focus on stimulating the body’s own ability to heal, rebuild, and rejuvenate. I love working with biostimulators and other regenerative approaches because they don’t just create temporary improvements; they encourage the skin to produce more collagen and elastin, leading to long-lasting, natural results.

At Spruce, we’re expanding into these next-generation treatments, including new laser technologies and biostimulatory injectables, which complement the philosophy behind my skincare line, Glowdose: building skin health from the inside out rather than masking problems.

At the heart of everything I do is the belief that skin health is a cornerstone of overall wellness. My mission is to empower others with the knowledge, tools, and treatments to take control of their skin and, in turn, feel more confident in every aspect of their lives.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Looking back, the three qualities that have been most impactful in my journey are grit, adaptability, and communication.

Grit came from my upbringing and competitive sports background — learning how to push through challenges and keep going even when things felt uncertain. For anyone just starting out, I’d say grit is built by consistently putting yourself in situations that stretch you outside your comfort zone. Each small win builds confidence for the bigger challenges ahead.

Adaptability has been essential, especially as an entrepreneur in aesthetics and wellness, where trends, technologies, and patient needs are always evolving. The ability to pivot quickly and embrace change has helped me grow Spruce and Glowdose in ways I couldn’t have imagined at the start. My advice is to stay curious, keep learning, and don’t be afraid to adjust your path as opportunities arise.

Communication has been at the core of everything — whether it’s connecting with patients, educating on social media, or leading a team. Clear, compassionate communication builds trust and community, which are the foundation of long-term success. For those early in their journey, practicing active listening and learning how to tell your story authentically will make you stand out.

Overall, my advice is to focus less on having all the answers right away and more on developing the qualities that help you keep moving forward — because the journey itself is where the most growth happens.

All the wisdom you’ve shared today is sincerely appreciated. Before we go, can you tell us about the main challenge you are currently facing?

The biggest challenge I’m facing right now is managing and protecting my time. As a business owner, my practice truly feels like my baby, and my patients mean the world to me, so it can be difficult to say no or to hand responsibilities off to others. I want to give my all, which sometimes makes it hard to step back and recognize that I can’t do everything myself.

What I’m working on now is becoming more intentional about delegating tasks and building trust in my team. I’ve realized that protecting my time isn’t just about balance for me — it’s also about ensuring that my patients and business get the best version of me. By putting systems in place, training my staff well, and learning to set boundaries, I’m gradually creating more space to focus on the bigger vision for Spruce and Glowdose, while still honoring the relationships and patient care that I value so much.
