We recently connected with Lindsey Madison, FNP-C and have shared our conversation below.
Lindsey, looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?
I get my work ethic from my mom—hands down. One of the greatest lessons she ever taught me was the value of hard work and education, and that your happiness and success should never depend on anyone else. She was a single mom raising two babies while working three jobs just to make ends meet, and not once did she ever complain. Her strength, resilience, and determination shaped so much of who I am today. By her example, she showed me that women are capable of incredible things—and that we deserve all the love, happiness, and success we work for. I carry that with me in everything I do.
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I have the honor of serving as both the Medical Director and Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner of Skinfinity Medspa in Gilbert, Arizona. I lead a team of exceptional providers who are deeply passionate about helping our patients look and feel their absolute best. What truly sets me apart is the highly personalized experience I offer—every service is carefully curated to meet each individual’s unique goals, with an emphasis on safety, comfort, and naturally beautiful results.
My personal specialty is full facial rejuvenation through a holistic and comprehensive lens. I focus on skin health, regenerative medicine, and aging gracefully—helping patients enhance what makes them uniquely beautiful rather than changing who they are. I believe aesthetic medicine should be rooted in both scientific expertise and artistic intuition, so that enhancements look refined, natural, and completely tailored to the individual.
The services I provide span everything from advanced injectables—like neurotoxins, dermal fillers, biostimulators, and platelet-rich fibrin—to IV therapy, vitamin injections, medical-grade skincare, microneedling, and laser treatments. I also oversee our medical-grade weight loss program, which combines lifestyle support with wellness coaching to help patients achieve lasting, whole-body results.
What excites me most about what I do is the connection I build with each patient. I’m incredibly grateful for the trust my clients place in me and for the meaningful relationships that grow out of that trust. It’s not just about results—it’s about the experience, the confidence we help restore, and the joy of watching people step into their own kind of beautiful. Whether you’re new to aesthetics or a seasoned pro, I’m here to guide you through a journey that’s as empowering as it is effective.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Looking back, I would say the three most impactful qualities that shaped my journey have been empathy, resilience, and a commitment to lifelong learning.
My very first role as a nurse was in Pediatric Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplant, which was both incredibly humbling and transformative. It taught me how to truly be there for others in their most vulnerable moments. The empathy I developed during those years continues to guide how I care for every patient I meet, whether I’m holding their hand through a difficult life challenge or helping them feel more confident in their skin. That deep sense of human connection is the foundation of everything I do.
Resilience was another key factor in my journey. Transitioning from pediatrics to aesthetic medicine and plastic surgery was a leap—and it came with challenges that lead to my overall growth. I balanced assisting in the OR, learning complex facial anatomy, and being fully immersed in school while pursuing my Nurse Practitioner degree. There were long nights, exhausting days, and moments of doubt—but staying connected to my “why” kept me moving forward. Passion will fuel your purpose, but resilience will carry you through the toughest parts.
And lastly, I truly believe in the power of continued education. Aesthetic and regenerative medicine is a field that’s constantly advancing, and that’s what excites me most—it pushes you to keep growing. I’ve always been a student at heart, and I believe that curiosity and a desire to keep learning is what keeps us sharp, humble, and ahead of the curve while ensuring the best patient outcomes.
For those early in their journey, my advice would be: stay curious, stay compassionate, and stay persistent. Find mentors who inspire you, never be afraid to ask questions, and don’t rush the process. Your unique path will shape the kind of provider you become—and that’s something no one else can replicate.
We’ve all got limited resources, time, energy, focus etc – so if you had to choose between going all in on your strengths or working on areas where you aren’t as strong, what would you choose?
I believe it’s better to aim for a more well-rounded approach, especially in fields like aesthetics where versatility and comprehensive knowledge can truly elevate the quality of care you provide. While leaning into your natural strengths can definitely give you a head start, I’ve found that investing time and effort into areas I’m less confident in has made me a more capable and trusted provider overall.
For example, I initially felt strongest in neuromodulators—confident in dosing, placement, and patient communication. But I knew that to truly meet the diverse needs of my patients, I had to get more comfortable with dermal fillers and biostimulators too. That meant stepping outside of my comfort zone, dedicating time to additional training, and even seeking mentorship from colleagues who excelled in those areas.
The result of my efforts to grow and learn in all skills allowed me to see how these different modalities can complement each other in a full-face treatment plan. Now I’m able to take a much more holistic approach, tailoring results that are more natural, balanced, and long-lasting. I’ve had patients tell me they feel more comfortable knowing that I can offer the full spectrum of treatment options, not just one area.
Being well-rounded doesn’t require perfection in every area—it’s about being open to growth, especially in the skills that don’t come as naturally. Embracing that mindset has not only elevated the way I approach treatments, but has also deepened the trust my patients place in me to lead their aesthetic journey with confidence and care.
