Meet Lindsey Miller

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Lindsey Miller. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Lindsey, so great to be with you and I think a lot of folks are going to benefit from hearing your story and lessons and wisdom. Imposter Syndrome is something that we know how words to describe, but it’s something that has held people back forever and so we’re really interested to hear about your story and how you overcame imposter syndrome.

Overcoming imposter syndrome is an essential part of any business owner or creatives journey. After about a year of the mental battle within my business, I recognized that I wouldn’t have this dream or idea, if I wasn’t able to achieve it. I had to remind myself that this is my life, I am allowed to be yourself, allowed to enjoy the process and rebrand at the same time. Being curious about a new opportunity shows you have passion for life. You are allowed to be passionate, present, and excited!

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I grew up in an extremely small Colorado town, not aware that I would one day live in a “big city”. I always had an eye for colors, patterns, and anything that flowed together. I started doing hair in 2020, and everyone said “I knew you were going to be a hairstylist!” I started to pursue my passion for photography in 2023, as well as starting to learn what it takes to be a freelance model in a city where everyone is signed to an agency.
In 2024 I decided I wanted to add Real Estate to my tool belt. I finished and passed in a few short months, and have already closed 3 deals in my first 8 months licensed.
I believe there is a creative market waiting to be tapped into for everyone and I love helping others see what is possible!

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

The three skills that I incorporated into my thinking when trying to expand my business, was “Confidence”, “Consistency” and “Community.” If I am confident in what I bring to the table, everyone will want to sit! If I am consistent with my work, my attitude, my posts, and my values, my dream clients will find me. If I pour into my community or even a new group of creatives, I will be poured back into. I will feel my spark reignite. I always walk away with a new perspective or skill. Learning how to fill the cups of others, plus knowing when yours needs to be filled is huge!

Do you think it’s better to go all in on our strengths or to try to be more well-rounded by investing effort on improving areas you aren’t as strong in?

I think going all in on the things you’re good at and passionate about is great. If you’re withholding your amazing talent, what are you doing?!! If these things are your TRUE passions, they should come so naturally and easy to you. Investing into the areas you’re not as strong in is also a key way to level up your skills and feel more confident. I think going all in on the things you’re good at + investing into the areas you’re not as strong in is the best way to build.
