Meet Linoy Boutique

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Linoy Boutique. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Linoy below.

Linoy, thank you so much for taking the time to share your lessons learned with us and we’re sure your wisdom will help many. So, one question that comes up often and that we’re hoping you can shed some light on is keeping creativity alive over long stretches – how do you keep your creativity alive?

I keep my creativity alive by surrounding myself with beauty and inspiration every day. My candle studio is a place where art, scent, and emotion come together. I pour each candle by hand, play with colors, textures, and natural elements. I also find inspiration in nature and in my past career as an event planner by creating experiences that bring people joy. I love when clients come to the studio to design their candles with me; their stories often spark new ideas and keep my creativity constantly flowing

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

My journey began in Paris, surrounded by art and fashion, but I always felt drawn to nature and meaningful experiences. After 17 years as an event planner in four continents, I decided to follow my heart and create Linoy Boutique, my candle studio in San Diego. Every candle I make is handcrafted with care, using organic ingredients, blending scent, color, and natural elements to tell a story.

What excites me most is watching people connect with my candles, whether it’s designing their own during a workshop, giving them as gifts, or lighting them during special moments. Each candle is not just a fragrance or a decoration; it’s a small experience that brings warmth, joy, and a little magic into everyday life.

Professionally, I focus on creating thoughtful, customizable candles that celebrate life’s moments, from personal gifts to events, workshops, and community gatherings. What makes my candles special is the personal touch: they are art, they are experience, and they carry a little piece of the soul and joy I put into every pour.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

1. Creativity & Artistic Vision
2. Craftsmanship
3. Adaptability

Trust your instincts and stay true to your vision, but also be open to learning along the way. Every challenge is a lesson, and every small win is a step toward creating something meaningful. Surround yourself with inspiration, keep your creativity alive, and remember that passion and dedication are your strongest assets

Who is your ideal client or what sort of characteristics would make someone an ideal client for you?

My ideal clients are people who value thoughtful, handcrafted, and meaningful experiences. They appreciate beauty, quality, and attention to detail, and they love surrounding themselves with products that bring warmth, joy, and a personal touch to their homes or events.

An ideal client is someone who enjoys customization and creativity, whether they’re choosing a candle for themselves, as a gift, or for a special occasion. They care about sustainability and organic ingredients, and they connect with the story and artistry behind each candle, not just the product itself.
