We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Lisa Delane. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Lisa below.
Lisa, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
My background has always been rooted in creativity, from events and public relations to styling photoshoots and crafting experiences that tell a story. I’ve always been drawn to the details that make something memorable, and I’ve loved the Nissan Figaro for years for exactly that reason. It’s such a distinctive car, full of charm and nostalgia, and it captures the kind of feeling I try to create through my work, something beautiful, joyful, and a little unexpected.
When the opportunity came to purchase a Figaro, I found Fifi and had her restored in the UK. It felt like the perfect way to blend my passions for design, storytelling, and memorable experiences. Bringing her to the U.S. and offering her as a photo and event prop has become more than just a business, it’s a creative outlet and a way to bring happiness and inspiration to others. Seeing people light up when they see Fifi reminds me that purpose often finds you when you follow what you truly love.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
My background is in events, PR, and styling photoshoots, so I’ve always been passionate about creating moments that feel beautiful, intentional, and unforgettable. That love for design and storytelling naturally evolved into what I do today with Fifi the Pink Figaro, a rare vintage 1991 Nissan Figaro that I’ve lovingly restored and brought to Southern California as a photo and event prop.
Fifi is more than just a car; she’s an experience. Her soft blush pink exterior and retro details have a way of instantly making people smile, and she brings a touch of nostalgia and magic to every shoot or celebration she’s part of. From weddings and engagements to girls’ weekends and brand collaborations, Fifi adds personality and charm that can’t be replicated.
What excites me most about this work is seeing how people connect with her. Every event feels unique, whether it’s a couple posing with her after saying “I do,” or a brand using her as a playful centerpiece for a campaign. She’s become a creative muse, and that’s something really special.
Right now, I’m focused on expanding Fifi’s presence throughout Southern California, partnering with wedding venues, hotels, and event planners who want to offer something distinctive and photogenic for their clients. There are also a few exciting collaborations in the works for next season that will showcase Fifi in new and unexpected ways.
At the heart of it all, my goal is simple, to bring joy, creativity, and a little vintage magic wherever Fifi goes.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Looking back, I’d say the three most impactful qualities in my journey have been creativity, persistence, and connection.
Creativity has always been at the core of everything I do, from styling photoshoots and planning events to bringing Fifi the Pink Figaro to life. It’s about seeing beauty in the details, understanding how to tell a story visually, and creating experiences that make people feel something. For anyone early in their journey, I’d say nurture your creative instincts by staying curious. Look for inspiration everywhere: art, travel, people, architecture, and let that shape your unique style.
Persistence has been equally important. Restoring Fifi and turning her into a business took time, patience, and plenty of learning along the way. Not everything happens overnight, especially when you’re building something personal. My advice is to stay consistent even when progress feels slow. Every small step adds up.
And finally, connection, building genuine relationships has opened every meaningful door in my career. Whether it’s collaborating with photographers, wedding venues, or other creatives, connection and kindness go a long way. For anyone just starting out, focus on community as much as you do on your craft. People remember how you make them feel, and that can be your biggest strength.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
Yes, absolutely, I’m always looking to collaborate with creative professionals and venues who share a love for beautiful experiences and thoughtful design. Fifi the Pink Figaro is available for weddings, styled photoshoots, brand campaigns, and special events throughout Southern California. I love working with people who see her as more than just a car; she’s a statement piece, a bit of nostalgia, and a source of joy.
I especially enjoy partnering with wedding venues, photographers, event planners, hotels, and lifestyle brands who want to add a distinctive, photogenic element to their offerings. Whether it’s a collaborative shoot, a venue partnership, or a promotional event, I’m always open to creative ideas that align with Fifi’s playful yet elegant spirit.
Anyone interested in collaborating can reach out through Instagram @SoCalFigaro or by email at [email protected]. I’d love to connect, brainstorm ideas, and bring something beautiful to life together.
