Meet Lisa Reyes

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Lisa Reyes a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Lisa, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
I found my purpose on accident and it happened after whole lot of trial and error. I could write a book about all of the crazy jobs that I have had. When I first moved to LA I got a job shoveling horse poop at a stable because it made me feel like home (I’m from Georgia). I have worked in a jewelry store, an ice cream shop, a car dealership, talent management, retail sales, as an actress in film and TV, a real estate agent, I tired to drive for Uber (but I had to pee too much), I have been a waitress (for a total of 2 whole days), I have been a personal assistant to a celebrity (that one lasted 1 whole day), and last but not least, a Go-Go dancer. Needless to say, none of these jobs were on purpose for me. They all served their purpose for basic survival and a myriad of valuable lessons. As cliché as it might sound, I actually did find my purpose by doing what I love. The journey that led to where I am now started with my love for yoga. I quit a very financially successful career in real estate to become a yoga teacher. Literally everyone thought that I had completely lost my mind. I didn’t care, I knew that I had to follow my heart. Teaching yoga led me to sound healing, breath work and meditation. A friend hooked me up with a yoga teaching job at a drug/alcohol mental health facility and that is when I realized my life purpose, to share the tools that I had learned with others to help them radically change their lives for the better.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
My business is called Gold Moon Sound. I primarily work in drug/alcohol/mental health facilities doing sound healing, yoga, meditation and breath work. I also train facilitators to do this type of work and staff facilities. I have just completed my training for Spinal Energetics and I am so excited to add this offering in person and online. This is a cutting edge modality that taps into the nervous system and the body’s innate intelligence to unwind tension patterns that are stored in the body as a result of things being “outside of our window of tolerance”. It is a beautiful blend of East meets West, working with the physical, emotional, spiritual and energetic field. I have seen incredibly powerful shifts in the clients that I have worked with.

Keep your eyes out for my sound healing certification program that’s coming up soon!

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

I am thrilled to announce that I am about to launch my sound healer certification program.  Keep your eyes peeled for that!

1. Do what lights you up. Do not waste your time on things that are not in vibrational alignment for your soul.
2. Communication is key. Make clear communication a priority in all relationships.
3. The intention behind everything you do is of the utmost importance. Anyone can complete a task in a mindless way. Figure out how you can show up differently with a mindful intention fueling all that you do?

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
I am always looking for people to partner and collaborate with, anyone that is passionate about health and wellness. I am currently looking for all types of holistic practitioners to add to my team of facilitators.
I am so passionate about the work that I do and happy to share any knowledge that I have gained along the way.
