We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Lital Diament. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Lital below.
Hi Lital, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
I had entered into the field of Child & Adolescent Development, hoping to teach young children. After completing my degree, I began to ponder if working with the whole system was something I needed to do in order to understand and effect change. I was hired as a secretary at a prominent psychiatrist’s office and thus began my search for not only higher learning and my yearning to understand people.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I am the heart behind Diament Wellness. My expertise spans trauma-informed care, Brainspotting therapy, EMDR, and perinatal mood disorders. I am also a certified Integrative Mental Health Professional as well as a Certified Yoga Instructor.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
The road to becoming a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist was not always an easy one. There were struggles along the way that I had to learn from. These struggles included working with people who fundamentally did not want to change their behavioral patters. I came to the understanding that I needed to let go of my own personal outcome (s) and focus on meeting people where they were at.

All the wisdom you’ve shared today is sincerely appreciated. Before we go, can you tell us about the main challenge you are currently facing?
There are many challenges in this life and one in which I am currently facing is parenting my son who is 5.5 years old. Often times, I am left to parent alone and this has been a difficult struggle to overcome. I have continued to work on my own healing and learn how to repair any ruptures within my family system immediately. Although, this can be challenging, it has been a gift that has been paid back exponentially to myself. I have continued to pause, reflect, and see what my part is in parenting needs to be adjusted, and have learned the art of letting go of the choices and things that are out of my control.
