Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Liv Merima. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Liv, so excited to talk about all sorts of important topics with you today. The first one we want to jump into is about being the only one in the room – for some that’s being the only person of color or the only non-native English speaker or the only non-MBA, etc Can you talk to us about how you have managed to be successful even when you were the only one in the room that looked like you?

When I first started my business I didn’t personally know anybody who had an online coaching business. I came from a small town where most of my friends and family didn’t understand what I was building. What inspired me to keep growing was joining masterminds and communities with like-minded coaches and entrepreneurs who were accomplishing huge milestones within their businesses. By surrounding myself with people who were leaders in their industries, it sparked this belief within myself that I could also achieve more. Putting myself in the right rooms and continually expanding my identity allowed me to grow fast in ways I never thought were possible.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I am a mindset coach that specifically loves to focus on love and relationships. I came across mindset and shadow work navigating through my own personal journey. For a long time I found myself experiencing the same patterns in my relationships over and over again, and constantly sabotaging without fully understanding why. It was until I came across shadow work and self-concept work I realized that despite all the personal development work i’ve been doing, I had continued to attract the same experience over and over again because I was unable to see where I was contributing to my circumstances.

I became very passionate about this work and began sharing it on tiktok and shortly after I started getting videos with millions of views. My business took off very fast and within the first two months of posting I already started taking on coaching clients. From there I launched my first mastermind ‘The Love Manifestation Blueprint’ which sold out very fast and created massive success for the students inside using my teachings.

Since then, my platforms have grown to reach hundreds of thousands of women each month and my content that has accumulated to millions of views. I am also the host of Busy Glowing Up podcast with over 500 5-star rated reviews and over 350k downloads on Spotify and Apple. A new project I’ve been working on for a long time that I have recently launched is my brand new app Claim It, the first ever affirmations app integrated with shadow work. We created this app based on the resources and trainings I offer inside my masterminds and high-level coaching so that this work is accessible to everyone who is looking for a beginner friendly approach to mindset work.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Looking back the top three qualities that were most impactful in my journey is firstly consistency. Oftentimes what can set you back is procrastination. It’s not about trying to get every single post perfect, through the consistency you learn how to get better and better but most importantly you develop discipline which is the second important quality you must have within your character. At first you will feel extremely motivated but there will be periods where you don’t feel motivation and its important that during those days you still show up and have the discipline to show up in your business and make an impact. And lastly you need to remain curious, always learning new things you can integrate in your business and within your teachings. The more you expand your business it will require you to expand as a person, it is an ongoing journey.

Who is your ideal client or what sort of characteristics would make someone an ideal client for you?

My ideal client that thrives from this work and that experience the most transformative breakthroughs are women who are curious and love to challenge themselves. My teachings are all about challenging the ego and breaking through the limits we set on ourselves, this work shows you how to think outside the box and generate different perspectives in all areas of our lives to create room for expansion.
