We recently connected with Liz Lopez and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Liz with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?
My work ethic comes from my hunger to strive for better. My desire to live a life I’ve always wanted. My drive for success that my mother instilled in me and the resilience that the Lord has blessed me with to overcome any obstacles placed my way.
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I hit the ground running when i graduated esthetics school June of 2022 and went off to take my boards to become a licensed esthetician. I soon after went solo as a professional licensed esthetician and started taking in clients. I have since moved to bigger locations and I am planning on expanding in the future. I love making people feel good about their skin and appearance. I love seeing the results my clients get during their treatments. It is my passion to work with skin and makeup. I also love waxing. I have worked in my business for a few years now, but my ultimate goal is finally becoming a reality.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Having financial literacy and being an entrepreneur at heart since a young age, really helped me in my journey to take the leap of faith and execute the plans I had as a business owner. Being a Spanish speaking entrepreneur has helped a lot with my Spanish speaking community. The majority of my clients are Spanish speaking individuals. The strength to persevere and keep on going through all trials and tribulations. Obstacles will always intervene in our pathways, the challenge is knowing to overcome them and take them as a learning curve and not giving up. Once you have mastered that, nothing or no one can ever get in between your dreams. Getting started is the most challenging part of your journey. If you are truly passionate, Once you start, you wont ever want to stop!
Looking back over the past 12 months or so, what do you think has been your biggest area of improvement or growth?
Putting all of my trust in God. Letting him guide me in the direction that is meant for me. Allowing him to give me discernment even when it comes to business making decisions.
