We recently connected with Liz Perra and have shared our conversation below.
Liz , so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.
We firmly believe that true confidence is built through action. Often, we hesitate to start something new because we’re afraid of making mistakes. But the truth is, rarely do we get things perfect on the first try. Real confidence emerges when we step into the unknown, face the challenges head-on, and grow stronger with every leap we take.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
At the heart of what we do is helping others overcome the challenges that often hold them back from reaching their full potential. Whether you’re dealing with creative blocks, feeling overwhelmed by content creation, or battling imposter syndrome, we specialize in finding tailored solutions to help you break through those barriers. Our focus is on providing expert guidance in areas like personal branding, storytelling, and mastering the tools you need to succeed—all while building effective business systems that simplify and streamline your work.
What excites us most about our work is watching people transform their challenges into opportunities for growth. We’re passionate about empowering individuals to unlock their creativity, gain confidence, and build businesses that not only reflect their unique strengths but also thrive in today’s fast-paced environment.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Adaptability has been absolutely essential to our success. We’ve navigated through multiple businesses, and each time, our ability to adapt to new industries, challenges, and markets has been the key to our growth. In 2020, when the business world came to a standstill due to the pandemic, the ability to quickly shift gears was crucial to our journey as creators.
Resilience has been our anchor during tough times. There were moments when it felt like everything was falling apart—like when one of our businesses nearly brought us to our knees. But resilience allowed us to push through those dark times, learn from them, and emerge stronger than before.
A Willingness to Learn has been a driving force in our journey. We’ve never shied away from diving into something new, even when we didn’t have all the answers. This openness to learning has helped us acquire new skills, stay ahead of trends, and continuously improve how we operate.
Advice for Those Early in Their Journey:
Be open to embracing change. It’s easy to focus on what worked for others and overlook the struggles they faced. Don’t be discouraged if things don’t go as planned the first time—things can change, and so can you. The path to success isn’t always straight, and that’s okay; the bumps and hills along the way make for a more rewarding adventure. Resilience is about focusing on the long game. Setbacks are inevitable, but how you respond to them will ultimately define your success.

We’ve all got limited resources, time, energy, focus etc – so if you had to choose between going all in on your strengths or working on areas where you aren’t as strong, what would you choose?
From our experience, it’s crucial to go all in on your strengths, but that doesn’t mean you should completely ignore the areas where you’re not as strong.
Here’s our approach: when you focus on what you naturally excel at, you set yourself apart from others and make it easier to position yourself in the market. Doubling down on your strengths allows you to become known for something specific, which is incredibly powerful in a competitive landscape.
When we first started our business journey, we made the mistake of trying to do it all—web design, branding, marketing, social media, Google business, logo design—you name it. The result? Burnout and confused buyers. It made selling our services much harder. It wasn’t until we leaned into our core strengths, like strategy and content creation, that we really started to gain traction.
That said, it’s equally important to be aware of your weaknesses. You don’t have to become an expert in every area, but recognizing where you need help and delegating those tasks can maximize your time and energy.
Think of it as A, B, and C-type work: A-type work is where you excel and add the most value, B-type work might be areas you’re competent in but not passionate about, and C-type work is where you’re weakest. By focusing on your A-type work and delegating the B and C-type tasks to others who excel in those areas, you free up your time to double down on what you do best.
For example, when we hired our first employees, we had zero experience with payroll. Instead of spending endless hours trying to master QuickBooks, we brought in someone skilled in that area to handle it for us. This allowed us to focus on our strengths and continue growing the business without getting bogged down by tasks outside our expertise.
In short, our advice is to play to your strengths while being mindful of your weaknesses. Know where you shine, and surround yourself with the right people or tools to handle the rest. This way, you can maximize your time and energy on what truly drives your success.
